from AOLSports.com
"Henry was released by the Tennessee Titans on Saturday after the two sides couldn't restructure a contract that contained an $8.3 million bonus that was due Monday. He rushed for 1,211 yards and seven touchdowns last season for Tennessee.
The Broncos did not announce the signing, which was disclosed by someone familiar with the deal who requested anonymity because it had not yet been signed.
The Broncos were in the market for a running back after dealing last season's leading rusher Tatum Bell to Detroit - along with offensive lineman George Foster and a fifth-round pick - for cornerback Dre' Bly.
It's been a busy offseason for Denver, who also traded quarterback Jake Plummer to Tampa Bay on Saturday for a conditional draft choice in 2008. However, Plummer said on the Jake Plummer Foundation Web site that he plans to retire.
The Broncos also acquired defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson from Miami on Saturday for a sixth-round pick in next month's draft and signed offensive lineman Montrae Holland to a one-year deal.
Henry, 28, has spent the last two seasons with the Titans, who acquired him from the Buffalo Bills in July 2005. He's rushed for 5,395 yards in his career and 34 touchdowns.
The Bills drafted him in the second round of the 2001 draft out of the University of Tennessee. "
The funny thing is the poll they are running with the story: Do you think Travis Henry will rush for 1000 yards next season? Who the hell doesn't rush for 1000 with the Broncos? My son could get 1000 with Denver...by midseason. My mom wouldn't make it til Week 14 tho. |

Razer that was awesome. But you are so right. Shanahan knows how to coach for the run game. Does hurt that their O Line is one of the best!
Last year, T. Bell rushed for over 1000 then M. Bell rushed for over 600. And last year was a crappy year for the Broncs!
This is exciting news!
Honestly though, the news about Plummer didn't surprise me any. He's still Jake the Mistake... even in Denver. He looked good in 2005, but 2006... same old Jake. |

Yeah and that's the one spot where the D is really bad. They are great against the run, but they aren't so great against the pass. The Secondary is lacking. Champ can't do everything. |

Bly, Henry, and Big Daddy make it at least a B+ offseason right there. I thought Griese was gonna be their future and never put too much stock into Jake. I think he only ever had big games against Dallas anyway.
If they can settle with an adequate QB then they have a shot. And Shino, I gotta disagree about Champ. I'd take him on the Giants in a heartbeat even if he is a former Redskin. He's definitely midway into his career but he still has instincts and speed. He's had 18 INTs in the last two years, if he had 2-3 more inches then he'd be a killer. |

you misunderstood me bro.
There is no doubt in my mind that Champ is the best CB in the game right now...
but... he's the only really good guy in the secondary... and he can't do everything for the team.
