Now...in case of those of you who dont know, the legal drinking age in Japan is 20 although they, like many other countries aside from america, don't really card or care and have a lot of freedom with the whole drinking thing...
In any case...Im not a big drinker.
Okay, that's a lie.
I am a BIG drinker...but I don't drink all the time. I'm not really into drinking every weekend, much less everyday but when I drink I drink heavily and heartily...mostly because I love the taste and patially because I do everything fast and can't help it...
^.^
In any case...what this all leads to is my drunken experiences in Japan which I thought I'd share since I'm completely drunk right now and felt like sharing with people...
PS: I'm completely proud of how few typos I've made thus far...
In any case:
The most common and easiest way to meet people when drinking:
Karaoke...
classic and fun. Unlike america you rent private rooms with a group of people and sing your heart out while getting all you can drink. That's what I've been doing tonight...I met a total of 10 people whose names I actually know and about 10 random people I'll never meet again (mostly Japanese and on the street).
this is also how I got into the most trouble Ive ever been in while drinking (excepting one more serious occasion), when I drank so much an ambulance was called and I beratedly refused to accept hot tea. I of course was fine.
The next most fun has been Hanami. See my blog for more info but basically it's a party celebrating the Sakura (cherry blossoms). This was great fun and more about food although when I did it I managed to meet more random Japanese people who wanted me to drink Sake! so I did...only sake is a killer though oh so delicous...
yummm...it comes close to beating rum...
umm...after that? comes any pain old random monihoudai (all you can drink) with food...fun and much safer because you're also eating...
ahh...
I love Japan and Sours and Sake and Singing and meeting random people(who sometimes kiss you on the cheek!).

Wow, when was the last time we had a 'Drunku!' post?
It certainly appears someone's been having a good time, and yes, karaoke is wonderful even without alcohol to be combined wiith it. |

Wow - that was THE msot cohiesive drunk posting I've EVER read on PO. I make more typoes in shorter posts sober. -See this one when Im done typing  - From now on, you must get hammered before making any posts on PO! Fo eva!
Actaully, I dissaprove of drinking and don't really encourage it. So um......dont drink! But post! But post drunk...? never post here again!
