Also known as "I love my Grandmother"

My grandmother, as a note, is one of those wonderfully sweet old ladies who really just doesn't keep up well with the times. She also spoils her grandchildren rotten, as I know from experience (IE: we had a snack cabinet full of junk that was always open and we could get into whenever we wanted, including five minutes before dinner.)

I have three cousins by one aunt, a fourteen-year-old girl, a twelve-year-old girl, and a seven-year-old boy.

The fourteen-year-old girl, Marissa, sprained her wrist Sunday. They were at her soccer game, and my grandmother, her mother (my aunt) and her little brother were there as well. Her mother was in with her at the Emergency room (no doctors on a Sunday) and my grandmother was charged with keeping the seven-year-old boy, Gabriel, entertained.

After about an hour, he was hungry, so she got him some candy from the vending machine. Then he was thirsty. There was a sandwich machine, which also had drinks in it, and the coke machine was broken. She couldn't tell what the drinks were, so she got one of them and it said "No Sugar" so she gave it to him.

..Turns out it was Red Bull.

So my grandmother gave him a bunch of candy and a Red Bull in an attempt to calm him down.

Needless to say, she was unsuccessful, and ended up taking him outside so he could run around wildly.

Ahhh, I love my family. XD

Chixie's 21 this weekend and even she's not allowed Red Bull or certain sweets as she goes hyper and becomes incredibly irritating!

I remember when I first moved to Bedford, her youngest brothers got Aspergers Syndrome and ADHD, and her mum was being the bitch she normally was by dumping him on her when she came to meet me at Nottingham train station while she went to one of her church meetings, thing is she'd fille dhim full of sherbert before-hand, he wouldnt sit down and actually got off the train literally 10 seconds before it left, we had to get the guard to hold it while we dragged him back on, I really questioned moving down here at that point!

That's too funny! Smile

My mother is sadly one who thinks that energy drinks are evil, so I just never drank any around her Wink They sadly don't have much of any effect on me now, but then again neither does coffee.

I did find that I have a coffee limit when I was in Seattle. A Venti Espesso Roast black coffee, 2 days in a row made me sick of coffee.

I used to drink energy drinks (when I worked at Pepsi I used to get CASES of Adrenaline Rush and Amp), but stopped shortly after because I really don't think they're good for you, and I think they taste kind of nasty anyway. I think Red Bull should change their slogan to "Red Bull gives you cancer", but that's just my opinion.

And the reason coffee doesn't have any effect on you anymore (and I'm assuming the reason energy drinks don't either) is because your body will eventually gain a tolerance to caffeine. From what I understand, it doesn't really take that long. The really sucky part is that when you stop drinking coffee, you'll start to experience withdrawl symptoms for a while.

You are correct sir! But the withdrawl is not really that bad...I'm just happier if I have some good coffee in me. I'm not too into the energy drinks. I like Monster the best and its a good taste/volume/price balance. I think its the "Khaos" <---that's how its spelled <--one that is mostly fruit juice which is good.
