Virginia Tech Student Shooting

To me, the 2nd amendment is the right to bear arms, and simply that. It gives you the legal right to own a firearm. It would seem to be quite a moot point but that is not the case in the eyes of our government, otherwise there would be no controversy of gun laws. I may not like guns all that much but given that students were locked inside their classrooms while being slaughtered, I would have welcomed a fellow student taking this guy out. I would have likely been one of those students hit before realizing what was going on and was always one of those front-row kind of students. It sounds like Dloe and Graillik have a good bit in common with their backgrounds and upbringings and would have taken action in this sort of situation where I would have taken the steriotypicial flight.

I feel pretty safe on our college campus for the reasons that Dloe made...except I wasn't in the engineering field...I was "technically" an english major ironically enough. I tend to spend my time in the MET dept now though due to Dloe and Feign...I think there may be more ppl, students and profs, in that dept that DO have firearms than don't.

Its a scary thought that nothing could have really been done to stop this guy...you can never truly predict actions of human nature, but there are speculations gallore. I can at least say that I would not be one of action...but that's not to say no one would be one to take action.
