I agree that generalizations are usually bad, but you can't really conduct a study like this without making generalizations. It would be nearly impossible to study each and every individual case.

I'm really not so sure as to the validity of this particular survey, however. To me, it just seems like they left things out that they should not have.

The simple point was that for many years it was thought that women did more work as stay at home mothers. Now with equal rights they are working the same amount of time. This is only about time. Quality be damned as it states that the work is broken into both at home and at work time spent. As you can see in the US the time is split a little different, but is stated on both parties. Do I do work around the house? Yes...but very little because my wife is a go gettin' psycho that will work herself into the ground before taking a day off and relaxing. I make her take walks now.

All in all the article is simply stating that despite what most people think, work 'time' is about equal. Why it took 2 pages to say that I don't know, but that's the way it is.
