You can read it yourself but aperently there is a petition to save Paris from a 45 day jail term for drunk driveing because she "Is a role modle and livens our mundane lives"
I think we should start a counter petition for her to serve her time, or maybe extend it to life  |

I'm sorry, my life may have its mundane moments but it will never be so bad to where I'll view her as a role model. More like the poster child for anti-role model.
The only thing she gets a nod from me about is her mild entertainment ability via her dumb blond persona...real or ot. |

So as a role model she violates her probation by driving drunk.
I am amazed they managed to pin a sentence on her in the first place, personally. So I seriously doubt it will do too horribly much good.
Wanna be a good role model? Show what happens when you do something wrong.
Edit: and looking at the petition, it already has over 17k "signatures"
Double Edit: And there's at least three petitions to NOT pardon her. Gotta love it. And the top one on ipetitions (a jail her petition) has over 30k signatures. |

Excellent, quite excellent. Happily, I didn't even know this had happened. I filter my news sources very well for useless crap like the Hiltons and other celebrities. They're no more important than other humans. |

I'm sorry but if your life is so mundane that you need Paris Hilton to be above the law to liven it up there's something wrong with you. She broke the law, she's doing the time. End of story. If she was any kind of positive role model for young girls she would accept the consequences of her actions.

I understand your point Terin, but my problem is that her, her lawyer, and her mother don't seem to understand how she was still sentenced despite "how much money they spent on the trial". Wait? Do you have ANY idea of how the legal system works Paris? No, I think during that day of law school you were out absent.
Also, they have the audacity to say that her actions aren't hurting anyone. WTF?! She's lucky her actions didn't hurt anyone, because as far as I was concerned, drunk driving with a suspended licence is a pretty friggin' dangerous act. If it were any other "normal" person not in the spotlight, this would be a non-issue, and we'd be in jail. It's about damn time that someone so high profile is punished for the mistakes that they've made.
Boo-friggin-hoo. I hope the other inmates rough her up a bit. |

I say we start a petition to start a show: The Simple Life: Jailtime!!!!
Then we can get nicole Richie in there too!!!!
My views on this subject: Its already been said. She broke the law, and if she's a rolemodel to society (I have no friggen clue how), then she aught to pay the time. I don't think she should be able to get a fan base to help her out of jail. She wants to become more of a role model - look at Martha Stewart! She was thrown in Jail for INSIDER TRADING SECRETS!!! now THATS a big deal. And you know what? She went to jail despite her efforts, and didn't try to amass middle-aged-women America to save her ass.
Anywho, she should take a lesson from Martha...just do the time, get out. My respect for her will still not go up. NO HONOR POINTS FOR HER!
PS: Why does society view her as a symbol of beauty? Just look at that nose!!!!!!
