Yup... They combine the 2 franchises to make a Dynasty Warriors game featuring Gundams...
It's already out in Japan and was the first title over there to sell 100K copies in the first day.
Interesting.

Keen-minded 1UP readers may remember hearing talk of a Japanese game titled Gundam Musou on both The 1UP Show and 1UP Yours. An early PlayStation 3 release in Japan, this game mixed together two of that territory's top-selling video game franchises: the giant mechs of Namco Bandai's Gundam series and the fast-paced, button-mashing gameplay of Koei's Dynasty Warriors. No surprise then that it did very well, becoming the first PS3 title to sell over 100,000 copies on its release day in Japan.
It's unclear if it will do as well when it hits North America late this summer as Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. The biggest change from the Japanese release is that it will be coming out on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Other than that it will be the same attack-button-tapping action gamers have come to expect from the Dynasty Warriors series. Namco Bandai Executive Vice President and COO Makoto Iwai had these comments:
"Dynasty Warriors:GUNDAM is the result of a monumental collaboration between two great companies. This partnership extends far beyond the title's development and encompasses all disciplines including marketing, sales and promotions in order to bring this unique title to North America. Featuring interstellar environments and unmatched warrior battles, gamers will understand why Dynasty Warriors:GUNDAM is the must have game for the Fall."
Bizarrely intriguing? Sure. Must-have? We'll see about that. |

It needs to have Gundams from G Gundam. At least they actually fit in with that type of game. |

Well, the demo is up, and im preaty impressed, not a whole lot of combo options, but i expect youll unlock them in the full game, all in all a preaty fun title, though ill wait till the price goes down, or get it used |

I watched Gaaz play the demo last night and it looked pretty sweet, I'm just hoping there's a wide selection of characters to choose from when the final game comes out. |

I think from the video, I saw Shining/Burning Gundam, Gundam Wing, and I think The Orginal Gundam (I don't know if t had a special name or not). Still hoping for Crossbone Gundam, even though it's not one of the better known ones. |

I downloaded the demo and to me it seems wrong. Seemed like all the characters from all previous Gundam series were there in a fight for all match. Master Asia was your friend, while Domon (or however you spell his name) fought against you. In the demo you are Heero, the guy from Gundam Wing, if Im not mistaken. I havent seen that series in a long time.
Though I thought it was a weird combination. We would have to see how the final game looks.
I played the demo and I thought it was alright, but wouldnt hold my attention for too long. |
