I can't have veggies, though. xD Not raw ones. Nor can I have raw fruit. I don't like veggies much, really, so I'm actually more interested in fruit-like substitutes.

...yeah, but wheatgrass doesn't sound like it tastes very good. XD Would there be a good way to make it taste good?

I gearing up to try a smoothie tonight. Even got Soy Milk...I made an new post regarding that.

But I must say that its a little more affordable to buy berries pre-frozen. Ieven found frozen Black Cherries...YUM!!!

Later that evening...
I tried a modified version of the recipe and got great results! (Dloe's not a soy fan, and I forget to buy yogurt)

3oz Raspberries (OMG they are good frozen!)
3oz Blackberries
3oz Black Cherries
6oz Blueberries
1.5 cups OJ---try less, my blender was in a snit
1 cup Ice

Blendy blendy blendy...and you get a nice drink after a heavy meal.

I'll try the regular recipe next time once I get some yogurt. But, great job Sperrit! You've already got me expermenting with the variety!

And as another addition, Dloe gives his slurp of approval as he's just finished his off. Cool

Awesome! Glad to hear that you're starting to play around with youre blender! It's one of my favorite kitchen tools.
So, Legend, you can't have any raw veggies OR fruits? May I ask why? Is is a diet thing or a digestion problem? And what does your diet consist of if you can't have any raw fruits or veggies? Lots of grains and meat? I am very curious because I've never really heard of this kind of thing before.

It's a digestive thing, I believe. I haven't been officially diagnosed with -what- it is (I've brought it up before at my Doctor's, in passing, but like -they- care) If I eat raw fruit, I have what resembles an allergic reaction. If I have raw veggies, my stomach feels like it's twisting and turning into a rock. A girl in my Speech and Communications class suggested it might have something to do with a small cecum, but like I said, I don't really know.

To be honest, my diet in the past has been mostly junk food (Doritos and other chips like that, chocolate things, cereal, fast food). Lately it's been mostly rice and pasta. Occasionally when I am feeling adventurous I'll put the time in to make something with cooked fruit (I hate veggies anyways, so it's not really a big loss for me) but mostly yeah, rice and pasta. XD

I'm sure your doctor cares. If your doctor is anything like mine, however, he's constantly busy and doesn't have the time to diagnose everything that I mention to him that's not pressing and/or wasn't the reason for my visit. If it's a serious concern of yours, you should schedule an appointment with your doctor for JUST that. Then, if anything, they'll be forced to listen.

Interesting... I have to say that I have never heard of that before, and I've heard of some weird food alergies.
Cooked fruits are good. I often have apples baked with honey and cinnamon for desserts. Sounds like you need some nutrients, though. I would recomend looking into a really conprehensive daily multi along with calcium and possibly iron supplements, though it doesn't sound like you're enimic (sp?).
What about fruit juices? How do juices settle with you?

I already take a multivitamin, as well as Vitamin E and Biotin. I can have some fruit juices, but it depends on the juice. I can't have orange juice, for instance, because of the pulp. The same goes for any juices that have pulp in it, though orange juice is the only one I really come across that does. I have a great fondness for apple juice. XD

Cooked fruits are nice, but it takes a long time to do, sadly, and I'm not very good at it.

And no, I'm not Anemic. ^^
