Kei's short lessons in kana!! (come one come all)

Ok I've officially taken over and re formed this thread to be a kana study guide for those of you wanting to learn. About it. There is still tons I don't know but I can share with you the knowledge that I have gained so far is the study of kana. Are you ready? Were going to start with the basics and then we will progress from there.

here are your basics. These are all basic unvoiced hiragana.

あ = A か = ka さ = Sa た = Ta な = Na は = Ha ま = Ma ゃ = Ya


い = I き = ki し = Shi ち = Chi に = Ni ひ = Hi み = Mi ゅ = Yu


う = U く = ku す = Su っ = Tsu ぬ = Nu ふ = Fu む = Mu ょ = Yo


え = E け = ke せ = Se て = Te ね = Ne へ = He め = Me


お = O こ = ko そ = So と = To の = No ほ = Ho も = Mo

ら = Ra ゎ = Wa

り = Ri ん = N'

る = Ru を = O

ろ = Ro
From there we have our KA, KI, KU, KE, and KO. SA, SHI, SU, SE, SO. TA, CHI, TSU, TE and TO. NA, NI, NU and NO. HA, HI, FU , HE and HO. MA, MI , MU, ME and MO. YA , YU, and YO. RA, RI, RU and RO. WA, N and yes the last one is also an "O" don't ask me why but every site I've gone to said that it's also an "O". Strange huh?

We're not done yet boys and girls! WHAHAHAHA! Now we go on to the others like, GA, GU, GE, GO, ZA, JI, ZU, ZE, ZO. DA, JI, DU, DE, DO. BA, BI, BU, BE BO. And PA, PI, PU, PE and PO. These are all basic voiced hiragana

Are you ready cause this is where it gets easier there is one difference between the first set and this one. And your about to see it for your self. Your going take everything from the second row over to the (HA through ho) and put (") in front of them. Making (ka) turn into (ga) and ect. Pretty fun huh guys? One thing you will notice though there are do "Ji" (ぢ) this one is hardly ever used it can go for either (ji) or (di) but they hardly ever use it. this one --> ( じ) is used more frequently. The ones with the little circles infront of them last row going down all start with P.

が = Ga ざ = za だ = da ば = ba ぱ = Pa

ぎ = Gi じ = Ji ぢ = Ji び = bi ぴ = Pi

ぐ = Gu ず = zu づ = du ぶ = bu ぷ = Pu

げ = Ge ぜ = ze で = de べ = be ぺ = Pe

ご = Go ぞ = zo ど = do ぼ = bo ぽ = Po

Yes, I do think so. ^_^ it's extremely fun for me too learn. I don't know if it will be the same with you guys though. But I find it exciting.

it's fun to learn hiragana and katakana because they seem so easy after awhile. Kanji isn't nearly as fun because it feels like you'll never ever learn it all. But I mean, its fun at the same time as not being fun...it's just so frsutrating knowing that after a year and a half all Ive got is like 400 and that means I still have 1600 before I'll even be able to try and read a newspaper.

An update I have some names:

Here's yours sis.
in katakana:
アンジエラ - Angela in japanese is pronounced Anjera

I Know the Kanji for it too, I will post it once I find which radicals they are. ^_^

Now I will introduce to you, The compound unvoiced hiragana such as Kya, kyu, kyo. sha, shu, sho, rya, ryu, and ryo,

Basicly you take (Ki) and (yo) which are these two (き) (よ) and take out the I in (KI) and you have (kyo) so forth with (ki and ya) and (ki and yu) all compound unvoiced will begin with these letters. [b]k, s, c, n, h, m and r. cha through cho take out the i and chi and the (y) and ya yu and yo. for the N's like nya nyu and nyo, take out the (i) in (Ni) leave the ya yu and yo. Same for mya myu and myo. take out the (i) in (Mi) and for rya ryu and ryo you take our the i in (RI)[/b]

きゃ = kya しゃ = sha ちゃ = cha にゃ = nya みゃ = mya りゃ = rya


きゅ = kyu しゅ = shu ちゅ = chu にゅ = nyu みゅ = myu りゅ = ryu


きょ = kyo しょ = sho ちょ = cho にょ = nyo みょ = myo りょ = ryo.

Ok boys and girls, back to lessons. ^_^ Compound voiced hiragana!

Compound voiced all start with letters G,J,B,P. and remember voiced symbols look like this. が , ぷ So just like with the compound unvoiced hiragana in order to make (Gya byo Pyo) you will take Gi, Bo and Po) and take out the (I) in Gi and Bi add the "ya, yu and yo" for (Pya through pyo) take out the (a, u and o) in PA, PU, and PO and add (ya, yu and yo) like so. (And for Ja through Jo) Take out the (I) in Ji and the (Y) in Ya, yu and yo.

ぎゃ = gya じゃ = Ja びゃ = bya ぴゃ = pya


ぎゅ = gyu じゅ = Ju びゅ = byu ぴゅ = pyu


ぎょ = gyo じょ = Jo びょ = byo ぴょ = pyo
