Those looking to continue the adventures of Kratos without a PlayStation 2 don't have to wait until Chains of Olympus hits the PSP this fall, as God of War: Betrayal is now available for download on most modern Verizon Wireless mobile phones. For a one-time fee of $7.99 (or a monthly charge of $3.99), on-the-go gamers can check out this original side-scroller set after the events of the original God of War.
Betrayal finds Kratos falsely accused of killing the mythical beast, Argos, which forces him to hunt down the true killer through 10 stages of hack-and-slash action. While the lack of a third dimension gives it a decidedly different look than its predecessors, many of the familiar elements (such as Athena's Blades and Gorgon Eyes) remain.
