Well, Halo:CE (the original) can probably be found in a bargin bin somewhere. I Highly recomend it, the over arching story is somewhat cookiecutter, a band of alien races trys to anialate the human race, one guy in super armor kills them all, but the details are wonderfuly worked out, especialy if you read the books. The campain for Halo 2 isnt quite as good as halo:CE, but if you can find it cheep, and you liked H:CE you should pick that one up too.

Meh every single person I talked to said that it H2.....prettier. I havent heard of anything revolutionary about it. I guess they are going to improve the story abit, which is good. H1 I did enjoy, but H2 was bleh. I guess the 'good' thing about it was online, but generally, the H2 community IMO are facking tools. You can keep your ripped off man-cannon. Give me a Torque Bow & chainsaw bayonette anyday, not to mention a badass cover system. I'll prolly gamefly it for the story, but wont buy it.

It's an FPS. *shrug*

The FPS that I'm looking forward to is Bioshock... that definitely looks different enough to grab my interest.

That game is my most anticipated game for this year. And the Big Daddy figurine for the Collector's Edition will be very sweet.

As for Halo 3, I will pick it up, but Bioshock and Half-Life 2 are games that seem like they would keep my interest in terms of single player mode. And as for multiplayer...well, Unreal Tournament 3 will destroy all. Period. Nothing will come close to that game.

Yeah, I preordered the Halo 3 Legendary box after seeing the GamePro article that showed off those same 2 armor pieces. The downside to me is that Bungie mentions them being "unlockables" and I usually suck at shooters to be able to unlock extras like that (tired with Lost Planet).

Bioshock looks interesting, but I don't play shooters enough to care about it unless enough of my friends get it and play multiplayer, which I don't really see happening. The Orange box, for me, is all about Team Fortress and Portal. UT3, however, is very nearly a must own.
