Friend of mine talked to me about this while we were waiting for autographs in the Video Games Live post-show Meet-n'-Greet. He also thinks it's a Godzilla movie, a remake of the original. |

I've been surfing around and some people are posing that it may be a movie about the resurrection of Cthulu.

Here they think that it may be Godzilla OR a giant monster attacking the world viewed from only video cameras OR a much awaited Voltron movie.

On the site www.ethanhaaswasright.com we are constantly told to look to the stars.
While researching Cthulu I found this:

If you check the www.slusho.jp site history you see that the creator of Slusho found the ingredient at the bottom of the sea. Possibly where the Cthuli reside.
Also since the Cthuli are objects of chaos and Lost is the show that ties into Cloverfield you can Garner from Losts chaotic story and plot twists that the Island may be under control by a hidden Cthuli. |

Remember, Godzilla also comes from the ocean.
I'm glad you brought this up because I was meaning to look into it after I saw the trailer, but completely forgot. It'd be sweet if it were Godzilla or Cthulhu. I would be sorely disappointed if it was Voltron though.

That doesn't explain the Lost angle.
Let alone an episode of Alias featured "Slusho" One of the main characters was offered one. JJ Abrams directed this episode of Alias in order to tie into his movie. Which was more than 2 years in the making apparently. |

I really REALLY wanna see this but I'm afraid it will be a let down. The home video gimmick might go over well showing everything from a human sized perspective, no fancy monster fly-bys so it might help to lend to the "Oh-Crap" factor.
Since I saw the trailer way too late (ie, on a DVD trailer) I missed out on all the hype/clue finding stuffs. Might warrant a Sunday $5.00 matinée showing if nothing else.
Here's hoping its at least better than than "Godzilla" movie, ie Jurassic Park 4: Supersized! |
