Ok for those of you that know me well know that my truck in on its last leg…er…wheel. Seems like whenever I get something fixed on it two more things fall apart. It’s almost paid off but the cost of repair doesn’t seem worth it. So it looks like CK is getting a new ride.

I was really looking into the 5 door compacts for fuel economy and space. I looked at all of em too. The Fit, the Versa, etc. I checked websites, read reviews from Edmonds and Car and Driver…my poor brain was filled with pros and cons for each vehicle. One thing bothered me on each one though, and it may sound superficial, but they just didn’t look good to me, and I’m BIG on Hondas…just didn’t like the look of the Fit.

Then I started looking into the new budget Toyota line, the Scions. More specifically the xB and xA. They seem to have a cult following and even though they weren’t the best in power and functionality…they were big in the “Import” crowd, which I just barely got into with my Honda. As I did more research I found out that the xA, the one I was leaning towards, was being discontinued for a new model. The more powerful, redesigned xD. So I started on my quest, started gathering any information I could find. The more I looked the more I liked. So I put a call in to a few dealerships for a test drive when they came in. Got a call back the same day from Toyota Roswell said they just got their demo model off the truck, literally – 5 miles on it to drive it off the truck and to the dealership. Went over that afternoon and test drove it…liked it. Talked to the dealer for a few hours and before I knew it he had the model I wanted en route to the dealership.

So needless to say my new car should be arriving in a few days and if all things go well with my trade-in and financing…CK will be driving this next week:

The only difference is that I’m getting a dark blue one.

CK is excited. It’s a stick too, which really REALLY missed in my truck.

Very nice. For a while I was considering getting myself a Scion, but I was leaning towards the xB. From the research that I did, I was surprised at the value you get by getting one. True, the super power isn't there (but that can be added later if you really need it), but they're well designed, very roomy, and are great on gas...all at a very reasonable price.

I really wasn't a fan of the xA, but I must say that the new design of the xD is very cool. I still think I like the xB better, but the xD is a big improvement over the xA.

the original xB was a bit boxy for me, I like the new xB...just like the xD more.

Couldn't get into the xA or xB originally.

The new xA's are pretty nice.

I still prefer the tC. But those are a little more pricey.

tC's are nice, but i wanted the extra room in the back.

The Fit looks like someone took silly putty, stretched it out then slammed its backside into a wall.

I haven't liked any of the new Honda styles actually, the 99-00 models were the last ones I liked.

With the upcoming new xD purchase, looks like it’s about time to finally update my license plate. It’s been AKUMA since I worked at the video game store about 6-7 years ago. Doot has upgraded hers from PEEDOOT to DOOTERS, Shino is still rocking the SHINO on his (although I really think he should change his to BISHI), Sciler has SCILER and I even think a few more PO’s are thinking of getting one too.

So I have a few options and just wanted to toss em out there to see what sticks or see if you guys can help me think of one I may have missed. So here we go:
