...I don't even know what I'm feeling!
AAACK! in two hours I leave for the airport and not too long after that I'll be heading home and a whole lot of hours after that I will be home! I'm so nervous and excited and sad and theres this wierd pit feeling in my gut. I can't imagine, for the life of me, what it will be like! isn't that wierd? I spend my whole life growing up in Atlanta and then one year in Japan and suddenly I have no idea what atlanta will be like anymore!!!
I'm freaking out!
Still, I'm kind of excited about reverse culture shock! And REALLY excired about seeing my friends and family (although possibly the most important person is not going to be there-my twin, Rachel!). By the way, if any or you are near the airport saturday night around 7:40 feel free to drop by and say hello! I'm taking everyone who shows up to waffle house for my first all american meal! (I of course will refuse to pay for anything since I am completely and honestly 100% broke after this year in Japan-I know its unsafe but I will literally be getting off the plan without a cent, and probably in debt to Andrew to boot)

Well instead of Angry Man you have TGI Fridays, instead of Don and Ramen shops you have Waffle House and Diners, and you go from the best mass transit to the worst =P.
Oh, and no public bath houses, and alcohol vending machines.

well, it's best that no one showed up because my flight got changed at the last minute to something earlier so I ended up getting to atlanta around 3:30.

I know 12 hours is a loooong flight, but hopefully it will be a nice ride back. I've never been in Tokyo longer than a month, I can't even imagine being there a year and then coming back to the States. Have a safe trip! |

I know the feeling. Coming back to the states after living in England for a few months felt so strange. Suddenly, home felt foreign. It will pass, though, and soon you'll realize both places feel like home. =) |
