I got a strange thought in my head when I was cooking breakfast. Have you ever had a breakfast meal that was so good that you felt like you could take on anything? I guess I have known the concept, but never had a phrase for it until now.
So, have any of you all had a Spartan Breakfast? |

Well I once had a breakfast that was so bad that I thought that if anyone would talk to me at that moment I got it I would have punched them straight in the face.

I know exactly what your talking about, but I didn't think to put angry gladius wielding warriors to it! (Which is bizarre, I mean, its pretty obvious)
I most often have breakfasts like these when I'm away from home, on trips or vacations where just being removed from your static location sort of enhances everything, but around town I will occasionally get this feeling from a simple, hearty IHOP breakfast.

It was a combination of one and a half hour of sleep with no dinner the day before. Then up in an airplane and away over the country. (China)
We got some kind of rice porridge that taste like nothing and to it we got some sliced pepper that was drenched in red chili. It was designed so that you were supposed to but the hot thingy in the non tasting thingy.
But then it was completely uneatable. Lucky for me they also gave us a rice cake.
Lucky for anybody around me they did not speak english or swedish. |
