I'm not one to point the finger at people and judge them, but this case has really got on my nerves.

I've felt for a while that something wasn't right, its never felt like a normal abduction case.

I think the thing that initially annoyed me was that the likes of Social Services haven't batted an eyelid or considered the safety of their other two children, they left the 3 kids in their holiday apartment supposedly asleep while they went out for a meal with friends.

Okay, so it was only down the road, but you still don't do that.

When Chixie and I went on holiday in July, the pub was only next door to the hotel (the fact the hotel had a bar is null and void in this example), but we didn't go there, no we stayed in the hotel and had the monitoring service on (which has been reported was also available in the Portuguese hotel the McCanns were using on their holiday, but they didn't use).

Since that horrible day, they've had over a million Great British Pounds donated to their "Find Maddie" fund, had celebrities make appeals, and onw the fingers being pointed at them from all corners, they hire the most expensive Lawyer available to them and start to use the fund money, not only that but Richard Branson has donated a big chunk of money to them to aid in their legal fee's and asked other rich personalities to do the same.


Why them? Hundreds of kids go missing every year, why the focus on this particular family, a couple who have shown no public emotion towards their missing child, no shakey voices, no tears, nothing aside from smiles while meeting the Pope, its very very odd and very very cold. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if they weren't middle class medical proffesionals then the finger would of been pointed at them by everyone from day one, especially if they were of ethnic origin. Of course, I have no proof for that. But I know how hard myself and Chixie had to fight to prove we were good parents when Rachael was only months old and I find it disgusting that their parenting is only coming into question just now.

I'm not saying they did it, although its looking more and more that way each and everyday, but they seem to have been involved somehow, a substantial amount of evidence has been found in the car that they rented sometime after the childs dissappearance that points to her maybe being alive or at least transported in said car since her dissappearance.

What I find most disgusting of all though is that if they are guilty, and are sentenced to a jail term, the British Government will transport them back to this country for them to serve a sentence in our poor excuse for a prison system, where they will be mollycoddled instead of recieving the punishment that someone who does something this sickening to their child (let alone their own family) deserves.

well i don't know in this case but i do agree the finer pointing would normally go to them. i just think that this case should be pulled from the public and everyone be informed to stop caring or just stop talking in the press about it. this is a non news news story and should be ignored. now back to reading on the war against Islamic fascism for me. (i don't care how they market it, i know who my enemies are)

Wasn't there some speculation that the mother gave her some meds and accidentally overdosed her daughter and hid the body?

I believe that was a story I recall on our side of the pond.

Yeah, thats whats currently believed to have happened. Theres become a sickening culture amongst some areas of the middle class that do dope up their kids in order to get them off to bed so they can have their fun, however they go about doing that.

Of course, I have no proof of this claim though.

The problem with the case is that due to the excess publicity, the whole issue becomes so muddy that performing an actual investigation becomes damn near impossible.

Ahhh better living through chemistry. =P

in any case the likelihood of any fair trial or decent investigation went out the window the second the press smelled this corpse and started circling like the vultures they are

I wouldn't so much blame the press on this one as the McCanns have put themselves out their in the public face as much as they possibly could, they've approached the press which is why theres so much coverage.
