Dead on advice. Definately get to know your teachers, especially if you happen to be a business student, as many of them have good connections.

Not to discourage anyone, but this is what I did and I ended up with zero actual friends from my 4 years at college. Go figure... |

Oh, and in case anyone's curious, I'm going to the Universtiy of South Florida, which if anyone follows college football knows that it's kind of a big deal right now, heheh. |

Oh no, I chose USF because it offered the exact major I wanted to pursue, it wasn't too far away from home (but still far enough), and it offered scholarships that would make sure I'd graduate relatively debt free. The whole football thing just kind of happened this year, which makes for a lot of fun games and activities around the school. Trust me, I spent a long time thinking of what college to attend and USF is the right one, there's no doubt about it in my mind. |

back on topic though, you have to work hard to finish close to the 4 years normally quoted. you dont want to be at school as ling as i have been... (at least i have an office now....) |

I'm on year seven, but I've been going to school part time and working full time so I go slower, but I have a pretty nice job so I'm not going to try and push going to school full time so close to graduating.
Oh and DLOE, you know how it is... feast or famine =P. |

Right now my major is Mass Communications - Journalism, but I'm going to change it to Mass Comm - Public Relations. USF has an accredited campus in St. Petersburg, which is where I'm at and it offers about like 5 different Mass Comm majors, maybe more. I should graduate in time considering I started college with 27 credits and am planning on taking 5 classes every semester. If anything, I might even graduate a year early unless I decided to get my Master's rather than sticking with a Bachelor's. |
