unforteunately you can't change the rules til you win, and if majority don't like your views guess what Razz

Assumptions are made when someone doesn't have enough facts to KNOW what's going on. They are an important part of decision making, and if you have a time-critical decision to make and limited knowledge on the subject, logic dictates that assuming is all you can do. Now if someone isn't offering up info to a person and that person assumes ANYTHING based on the limited info that the first person gave them, then who'se really at fault, if anyone? The more we know, the more we can understand. I can't very well walk a mile in someone elses shoes if I don't know where there going, if you get my drift. Wink

But I'm just playing devil's advocate here and I agree with assumptions being a poor way to make onesself more knowledgeable about anything. Sometimes it's all we have though. Kinda like being pissed off at government cheese because that's all someone has access to.

Its just not cool to mess with a non-morning person, and I'm not answering the door to a little old man while I'm in my PJs, or just out of the shower. Wink

My big point in the rest of it is that ppl don't ask enough questions. That's why I've put myself out there for ppl to ask away about me, you might find out something cool.

we eapecially dont need the deaths on the doorstep. i live there too and knowing me i will be blamed for the death. assumptions are based off incomplete collection or perception of evidence either through incompetence, inability, or ignorance (willing or otherwise). thus if you want to prevent the appearance of impepriety or misunderstanding, it is better to instead of declaring your assumption as truth, declare it as a hypothesis surmised by information collected to date. this is how to kill the illness of assumption, keep an open mind and research constantly with fact checking to prevent misinformation or prejudice from destroying what was untill that point a good batch of intel.

Assumpions are huge where I am, and luckily, my friends are the sorts that actually go out and figure out what the hell is going on. It's why when someone calls me and complains to me about something happening, I call the opposite side and ask for their side of the story. Socrates had a good system for coming up with this stuff...It was called an Aristocracy. The only problem was that he predicted that it wouldn't work - it would eventually become a Timocracy, then an Oligarcy, followed by the ever-so-popular Democracy, and ending...in tyranny.

But enough of a philosophy lesson for today...You wanted a question?
