Well, not Atlanta per se, but the Atlanta area anyhow, yeah, a lot of us are. This is in part because our main recruiting thing was Anime Weekend Atlanta, so we got lots of local area people.
The reason most of us weren't there was because most of us didn't know about it. I'm sorry, but we don't all check every thread. If a thread ceases to apply/interest us, we stop following it. If you want to make sure everyone knows about something, then talk to them about it, whether through IM or PM or phone call or E-mail or whatever. Threads aren't the best way to communicate.
I'm sorry we missed you, Sting, but I'm glad you had some fun anyhow. <3 I know how you feel, though. I got sick over the Holidays myself. |

 But we're on a forum, with a thread in the appropriate place for an event...which is where any other events are posted and communicated to everyone so they know that there is an event going on.
I'm sorry, not meaning to sound so snarky, but I'm low on caffeine, and that comment just struck me as odd to say on a forum...

Up until Saturday Evening, I didn't have any POer's phone number except for immediate friends. I feel bad about not communicating Sting's arrival better, but the whole thing kind of sprung up on this thread so I didn't create a new thread until after she arrived.
Next time an event like this happens I will be sure to advertise stronger on multiple mediums.
P.S: Well then Tony come on down and have a pint. =) |
