Nintendo gives Thanks

"- Nintendo announced they have sold more than 350,000 units of Wii during the Thanksgiving week, and warning customers that Wii would be scarce through the end of the year. Nintendo expects to sell 17.5 million Wii consoles in the fiscal year of 2007.

- In additional, Nintendo also announced they have sold 653,000 units of Nintendo DS in US during the Thanksgiving week, which breaks the all-time sales record for Thanksgiving week."

This is ridiculous but there were 37 Wii's at the K-Mart down here for Thanksgiving Day and of course they sold out immediately. I hate to be like this but if I can get one before Xmas and dump it on Ebay, I will.

I thought about it. I was walking by EB games the other day (prior to Thanksgiving) and saw a sign in the window that said "We have Wiis!!! Get them while you can!!"

I am inherently lazy, however, and forgot about it immediately.

On a similar note, they had a Wii display/ play center in one of the malls, where they showed people how to use the Wii. However, due to this, the Gamestop in the mall (the only game store there) was consistently out of systems. So it was a double-edged sword.
