Nyko has repeatedly come up with truly useful 3rd party peripherals and they do it yet again. Coming soon and to be announced at January's CES is a new wireless nunchuck for the Wii. Seems pretty good.

Honestly... I don't see the benefit. I guess it depends on how much it is. If it's still $20.. then I would get it. MAYBE $25. But only if it's rechargable. Anymore than that... meh. It's not like the wire between the wiimote and the nunchuck is much of an issue.

Sure it is, when you launch the chuck at the TV the problem was the $40 Wii-mote useta go with it. NOW you just lose the $20 chuck. And the 300+ TV

i wonder if the controller is any smaller... my wife has little hands, and won't play zelda because of the comfort level of using the nunchuck

At least it looks pretty. But you know, all the idiots playing boxing will chuck both, Wii-mote and nunchuck now.

So, that would bring me to the next question... How many nunchucks could a woodchuck chuck if the nunchuck was wireless?

The answer is... all of them.

From my experience, only the Wii Boxing (or any boxing game, I guess) causes a need for a wireless nunchuck. Other than that it's just for comfort. I have never "needed" the etxra reach but I have found myself getting pissed by the wire dangling over my arms. I can't tell if it's rechargable but if it is, then cool. Three of my Wiimotes have rechargable battery packs in them now (the 4th is mostly for company) so even if it did use batteries it wouldn't bother me. I don't really play anything that needs the nunchuck anyway. I'd use it mostly when company came over.

Still, I think Nyko is the only company regularly pumping out quality peripherals for all systems. Other companies have been hit and miss alot.
