I'm surprised no one is talking about this game.

I'm 10 hours in but in reality I'm only like 5 hours in. I've been doing side quests most of the time. Hard ones too. Ones I probably should have been a higher level to play through, but I did them anyway... slowly but surely.

So now I'm going through the first storyline mission of the 3 you start with and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Armor Piercing rounds FTW!

So far, whereas I'm not as impressed as most of the critics out there, the game is very solid and will probably easily get my "360 Game of the Year" award when we do that show in a couple of weeks.

I definitely suggest it to any of the following...
3rd person shooter lovers
Squad based shooter lovers
RPG lovers

The game is very unique and pretty damn addictive. It does have numerous technical shortcomings, but the game itself is pretty awesome.

I've been playing this game since like Monday. I think I to have logged like 10 some-odd hours.

Right now I'm in space discovering new worlds and kicking myself for not raising my damn Electronics sooner. Razz

This game is a load fest in that it sporadically loads for no reason I can see. However it hasn't detracted from the game really. In fact it gives me time to think about what I wanna do since there are many side-quests and the main story line is quite engaging with multiple ways to accomplish your goals. Most of which I find out AFTER I killed everyone...Seriously...Everyone. I'm surprised that frozen planet has guards left.

I did plan on buying this game after "renting" it but my Xbox live account has been banned. Razz

So now I'm conflicted. hehehe

At any rate...mass Effect aside from horribly done shadows and some lighting problems is a damn great game...I'm glad school is out now. Very Happy

I think it's annoying that you cant scroll thru all the interactive points in a room a la KOTOR, and the characters momentum will sometimes pull you PAST the thing you wanted to click on. Bah.

Yeah, maybe, but they cram so many things that are viewable/clickable in small areas that the system sometimes skips them from a small change in movement. The chair in the strip club is one such object, I was walking around the room just checking it out and I saw "Chair" come up, I guess I didn't have my ninja reflexes because it prolly took me 45 seconds to "refind" the chair......ANNOYING especially in a game with so much voice-work, and other time consuming aspects.

I'm still in Fenos. I did 2 other systems before going there though. Tough side quests when you're not leveled up.

But now I'm going up levels like mad. I think I've gone up like 7 levels on Fenos alone due to side quests and the like. I just completed the last event and now I'm supposed to get out of there. But I still have a little more to explore in the HQ, so I'm going to do that first.

Bring on the Geth! Me and my Thunder IV Assault Rifle with armor piercing rounds are ready!

Bah! Chemical Rounds FTW!

I like shooting bullets that ignore shields and kill the people while I hide behind a crate.

Chemical rounds are my second choice.

But since I'm fighting the Geth... Armor Piercing it is!
