I spent about 6 hours in the editing lab working on a movie for my editing class (a 30min movie, roughly)
I started at 11:30. I came home halfway done now (5:00)

Yes, yes it does.
I've had friends spend days (as in more than 24 hours total) editing even just short films. Sometimes I bring them food. :]

Well, editing takes a while, but out of everything I've done in the cinematic apparatus, the most fun i've had is in editing and writing.
If anything, it's time consuming, but the time definitely pays off as you actually get to see all of the film clips you have come together into one, coherent movie that is seamless.
If you have any questions, i'm still a bit of a tenderfoot, even though i've been doing this for two years. I'd say if anyone on here knows editing well, Una does (he does make the PO movies  )
