This is why ya.oi confuses me. It boils down to this. How many porns do you see where there's a dude on the cover and it's not a gay porn? Porn's primary audience is male, videogames is the same way. It's all about supply and demand. If they made a game that featured some guy's johnson, their target audience would be the gay community, which is a minority, hence not as profitable. These companies are out to make money, lately they've been doing it by making gimmicks and paying for positive reviews instead of making a game that isn't utter crap. I love Mass Effect as much as the next guy, but nothing can compare to the wholesome untainted 16-bit era. But i'm getting Off-topic and into Terin's Opinion. Hmm, maybe I'll start a thread...

I have to agree with Gaaz. And I actually know plenty of women current and past who would like the who imagine of gaming to stay kinda like it is except make the women a little more proportionate to a real female and not a porn star. Hell I know strait females who hate looking at naked men and would prefer to look at a naked woman just because the male genitalia looks nasty to them. And as Gaaz stated remember theres to sides to homosexuality, Lesbians, which is generally more acceptable because they don't gross as many people out as the other group, the gays. |

Well I know multiple Lesbians and seem to hang out with more women than men at times in my life. And aside from a few exceptions Scrum and my ex-roommate (You know who you are) none of them even thought it was relatively pleasant to see two guys swapping wangs. |

I generally talk to females more often than males, also I worked in an office where I was generally the only male, and lived with a lesbian couple for about 6 months. If you add up all that time I've heard all sorts of things. :p |

XDDDD I can safely say I don't even like looking at naked males (most of the time. xD I can make an exception for a particular male...) at all. Chicks, however, are definitely much more attractive.
I've never liked bubbly monkey mischief simply because I can't see the interest/turn-on in sex that I couldn't possibly be involved in. The fun part of female-involved smut is putting yourself in their shoes.
More on topic-- I agree that the gaming world isn't ready for homosexuals yet. The movie world -barely- is, and only when it involves light-hearted comedy like Chuck and Larry did. |

I like naked males. And naked females. :B
I went to a y.a.o.i. panel once put on by a professor here at PSU, and I think she has it figured out--girls like y.a.o.i. because it's two "prince charming"s that act like women (in most y.a.o.i., the male love interests behave more like women than like men). There's something not very straight about that. X3
I haven't seen Chuck and Larry, and I really don't want to. XD
Back on topic, the only way to find out if the world is really ready for a homosexual video game (besides y.a.o.i. dating sims from Japan) is to make one and find out. :D |
