A paradox for sure. And one that skirts on defining the lines that separate reality and fantasy.
Reality: You need to be covered to be protected so clothing and armors are a necessity. Anything that can pierce that defense will definitely be able to pierce the soft skin underneath.
Fantasy: She has supernatural skills/spells/abilities (or is of a supernatural race) and the body to hold such magnificent powers. So one of those could surely protect her from whatever may come.
Besides, who ACTUALLY wants to wear clothes in nice weather? |

the "armored bikini" effect does NOT work for guys. Seriously, it's one of the base principles of combat magic.
Besides, there are well-covered badass female leads in games... Though Samus Aran is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. |

no mr sports car and projector. i am reminding people of why germans built small tanks as compensation for...
but anyways yeah Samus tops the list of fully covered bad ass women in vid games. The only other one i can think of involves invoking Gundam and the spin-off games but they are fully covered since space is cold and without an atmosphere to be warm in...(though there are things to be said about a well cut uniform for accenting the man-tractors and lovely hips) |
