We saw this movie last night in leu of watching the Super Bowl...it was an interesting movie. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.
Did anyone else see it? |

Oh yes, it was really good Some people have said that the soundtrack was pretentious, but I disagree. |

I loved it (the movie and soundtrack). It was well written and well executed. I also loved Thank You for Smoking so that helped. Ultrawolf, his lady, my hubby and I all went late one night to watch it. Just was a sweet movie all around. |

If you hang around Hipsters enough, then you understand how a soundtrack can be pretentious. |

it was definietly different...I actually was inspired to go see it after Dr. Phil dissed it on his show when he did a thing last week on teenage pregnancy...I just got a laugh out of it b/c he had clearly not seen the movie, and actually had nothing to do w/ the girls on the show beyond it being a teenage pregnancy.
I liked how the movie had a more tastefull take on the situation. And although I've never been in this myself, it kinda speaks to the idea that things like this just happen and its not the end of the world, and that you do have options...and she made a decision that was right for her.
And speaking from the fact that I'm adopted, hell yeah! Good for her. I really liked Juno's philosophy on adoption.
I like that the movie really wasn't sugar-coated either, although plot-convenienced... Granted, I doubt all families would have this sort of reaction, but everyone is different. They just dealt with it. |

Having had a kid that was put up for adoption, I can say that my family and pretty much all my friends were as supportive as what was depicted this movie. I realize that not everyone will get to experience that kind of positive response in real life, but showing things worse would have brought the attitude of the movie down a lot. In my opinion it was a well written, acted, and directed movie. Ellen Page is quickly becoming a favorite actress of mine. |

This is definitely something I want to see sometime. ^^ Ellen Page is a cutie, and I loved her in X-Men even if they didn't play too true to the actual character of Kitty Pryde. <3 |

awesome movie, loved it from beginning to end. Got kind of weird when she danced with what's his bucket, but it didn't go down the "uh-oh" route I thought it was going to turn. heart-warming.
