I'm so sick and tired of seeing more and more stories each day about children being abused or these sex predators trolling the internet for them. It DISGUSTS me...granted, i'm a bit biased. All these stories just make my stomach turn, and I feel physically sick, and then I just get fucking angry.
the newest story I just read was about how authorities are searching a polygamist compound in Texas. This story just makes me angry...how can stuff like this just be condoned. What is wrong with people that they just sit by and let it happen!? How can you let things happen to your children, especially if you KNOW about it and even ARRANGE it!!!!????

Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested the 11 men on charges of soliciting sex from a child through the Internet during Operation Paladin -- a two-week online sex sting in which investigators, posing as a 14-year-old girl, used chat rooms and instant messaging programs to lure the men to a location in Polk County.
The men were arrested between April 3 and April 6. Sheriff's records show that more than half of them bonded out, but others are still behind bars with bail amounts of up to $180,000.
The arrest reports show that suspects from Orlando, Apopka, Kissimmee and other cities in Central Florida brought alcoholic beverages, marijuana and condoms. One man arrived with a box cutter hidden in his sock for "protection in case it was a 'set up'."
"We have proven time and again that these pedophiles will stop at nothing to satisfy their perverse desires, no matter how many times we conduct operations such as this one," Sheriff Grady Judd said in an agency issued press release. "Despite the repeated warnings and media coverage, they still show up, and they are all arrested."
The names and occupations of the men arrested by deputies:

unemployed Muhammad Z. Barbar, 19, of Pembroke Pines, student at Broward Community College
The sheriff's office arrest reports show that many of the suspects were suspicious of the online chats.
Tyburski asked the undercover investigator on Yahoo Messenger "your (sic) not part of like a new dateline special are you? Lol," the arrest report shows. "And your not a cop or part of a sting?"
After his arrest Tyburski told deputies that he had a box cutter in the sock on his right foot for protection in case the rendezvous was a 'set up' and that he had a compact disc in his laptop computer bag containing images and movies of children, ages 6 to 11, engaged in sex. Tyburski paid his $46,000 bail and is out of jail.
Nieves asked the undercover agent "I can get in trouble for hangin (sic) with a girl ur age so I'm asking are you a cop?" the report shows.
Other men used cameras to transmit images of themselves engaged in sexual acts.

An undercover detective responded to the ad pretending to be a 15-year-old girl. After several Internet conversations, detectives arranged for Gardner to meet the "girl" at the Burger King at Old Town in Kissimmee on Wednesday afternoon.

Shuster made plans to travel to Clermont to meet the woman and her daughter. He described both online and in recorded telephone conversations to Loyko in graphic detail what sex acts he planned to perform with them, according to the affidavit.
Shuster also sent 120 images of child pornography to Loyko during the course of their online conversations.
Shuster flew from New York to Orlando on Tuesday and was arrested when he arrived in Clermont. When detectives questioned him, he admitted that he had come to Florida intending to have sex with the mother and her daughter. And he admitted to transmitting images of child pornography over the Internet.
Shuster is being held without bail at the Lake County Jail.

In the conversations, he allegedly admitted to becoming sexually aroused around the girl, masturbating in front of her and sexually battering her at least once.
In one of the conversations, he called it a "moment of weakness," according to the Sheriff's Office.
The girl had been receiving day care at the house on Croton Avenue since she was 6 months old.
Perez's wife, who ran the business, voluntarily shut it down. According to the Department of Children and Families, it was registered as having fewer than 10 children, and all employees, including Perez, had proper training and clean background checks.
Arely Gutierrez, 19, who said Perez is her stepfather's uncle, walked by the tidy burnt-orange house with her 1-year-old baby and was surprised by the news trucks parked in front.
She knocked on the door to see what was going on, but no one answered. After she learned of the arrest, she said Perez had always seemed harmless to her, though she also said that about a month ago she had learned that the couple were getting divorced and selling their home.

Police do not think Matthew harmed the girl, but one officer went to Matthew's home and told him not to have any future contact with the child. When the officer arrived, Matthew quickly logged off his computer and tried to hide what he had been doing.
Suspicious, the officer later returned to the home and asked to examine Matthew's computer. Matthew gave permission, and the officer found what appeared to be child pornography. Tavares police took the computer and had it examined by the U.S. Secret Service, which found child-pornography images on it. A warrant was then issued for Matthew's arrest

Boggs talked the girl, 14, into posing for nude photographs and then molested her, authorities said.
The incident occurred in February, police said.
Police executed a search warrant and found several sexually explicit photos of the victim.

The Polk County men arrested Wednesday and Thursday in "Operation Defender" range in age from 17 to 64. They all face child-pornography-related charges and are being held on up to $205,000 bail.
Sheriff's officials, known for their aggressive Internet patrols, would not detail how Detective Sean Speakman found the men, but when their computers were seized, investigators said they found thousands of photographs and videos of child pornography. The men are accused of possessing, not producing, the pornography seized.
"These men are disgusting, absolutely disgusting," said Polk Sheriff Grady Judd.
The children depicted in the images are as young as 1 month old. The average is 7 to 9 years old.
Investigators, in the course of a four-month operation, found images of men having sex with children, children having sex with other children and girls performing sex acts on animals. There were 53 victims in a single 30-minute movie.
Sting's 'ugly poster child'
"I have never seen anything as repulsive as our detectives and our prosecutors are dealing with today," Judd said.
Judd called 37-year-old Joseph Allen, a car salesman from Auburndale, the "ugly poster child" for the operation.
Allen told detectives he had been collecting child pornography for eight years, Judd said. When investigators seized his computer, they reportedly found more than 80,000 images of child porn. Allen apparently was so fixated that his computer keyboard was littered with cigarette ashes.
The youngest accused, 17-year-old Derrick Fraser, was arrested at Kathleen High School on Thursday morning, sheriff's officials said.
Several of the men are unemployed, and the others work in various fields, from a forklift operator to a hospital technician.
Two of the men arrested live together, but there is no indication the others knew one another.
On more than one computer, investigators uncovered a PowerPoint-like "tutorial" on the variety of ways men could have sex with children. Sheriff's officials played the "tutorial" during a news conference Thursday. The images depicting each technique were blurred.
Teen: 'It was a mistake'
Judd said the "tutorial" included a warning that no evidence be left for "your wife to find or for the child's mother to find."
The four-minute video ended with a slide that said, "So have fun & be creative."
Three of the men caught in the sting are currently jailed on unrelated charges. Deputies were still looking to arrest William Perren II, 23, of Lakeland.
As the arrested men were transported from a Sheriff's Office district command center in Lakeland to the jail Thursday morning, few said anything to reporters standing outside.
Asked whether he were innocent, Fraser, the high-school student, said "yes."
But as he was being loaded into a transport van with the other men, he added: "It was a mistake."
In recent years, Judd's detectives have taken an aggressive stand on fighting Internet crimes.
Polk County detectives have spearheaded three multiagency stings targeting men who prowl the Internet looking for children to have sex with. More than 60 men, most of whom do not live in Polk County, have been arrested in those elaborate stings.
And in March 2007, Polk detectives arrested 10 men in a child-pornography undercover operation. The men arrested in that operation, as in the most recent investigation, were accused of possessing the child porn, not creating it.
'Absolutely addicted'
Judd said many of the men arrested in "Operation Defender" told detectives "they were absolutely addicted to child pornography" and none of the men admitted to knowing the origins of the pictures or videos.
Investigators think the clips were created both in and outside of the United States. Judd said he's frustrated most by the fact they don't know who the children are or who created the images.
"This conduct should shock the conscience of everyone in our civilized society," he said.
"This conduct should call for immediate outrage across not only the state of Florida but the United States."

I just wish there was more that I could do. I wish that all of us who have been abused by these jerks, could stand up together and make a difference to keep these people in jail for a LONG amount of time. The amount of time that they lose in thier lives as the world changes around them, is still not a good enough punishment in my eyes for the life-long pain and issues that we have to deal with.
My abuser is due to be in jail until 2016 I believe, if I remember correctly. He's been there since I was 9, so around 1988ish. It's still not long enough to me, and it scares me to think that he could get out and end up doing the same thing to some other child someday. It fills me with anxiety that hes going to come after me or my mother for putting him in jail in the first place. I have issues with intimacy. I have issues with officers in uniform (he was a cop at the the time of my abuse, lovely eh?). I have panic attacks and while I try not to judge books by thier covers, how can I NOT as a defensive mechanism?
Castrate them all, they arent worthy of breeding in my eyes. Maybe that's harsh of me, but then again sadly, a lot of them have already had kids by the time they start abusing children, sometimes thier own kids, sometimes relative's kids, sometimes thier kid's friends, etc.
I need to stop now before I go off the deep end. I just really needed to vent, and since I havent been to therapy since I was a kid, I'm using this as an outlet, sorry =P  |
