Though I have my doubts that the LHC will show us the particles that give Matter its mass I can't help but believe that it will do something so insane that the world will have to take more notice. 
If the LHC does destroy the world then at least the world was destroyed by the coolest looking Death cannon ever built...EVER!

Or Skynet, haha. It'll be interesting to see how things really turn out. Decenteralized data sounds interesting but risk as hell as proposed by some of the ideas of things that could come from the grid. |

Though It wouldn't really explode...I think it would implode...Even then black holes just kinda like displace objects...I think.
Because they absorb time and space. I learned all my astrophysics from Red Dwarf so somewhere there would be a White Hole spewing out Massachusetts. |
