Where IS this box anyway? And how did we suddenly all end up IN it without knowing?
Another one I heard a lot while answering phones:
Smile in your voice: When you answer each call you need to make sure to have a smile in your voice to please the customers.
Translation: We want you to act like the scary overly cheerful girl from high school who was in EVERY club and nobody could resist her "charm". Which meant that she was too damn cheery to turn away.

I've dealt with these before. After every call, I make sure to go to the doctor to make sure I don't have diabetes. |

I thought I would Necro this thread back up because I just heard another buzzword that got me to thinking how much I've come to hate working in an office...
"From a (blank) standpoint..." I just wanted to confirm that we are good-to-go from a Production standpoint.
Translation: I just want to make sure that the Production department can accomodate my late-as-hell changes, since I have no concept of time and/or deadlines and don't know how to do my own job anyway, which is the reason I had to make changes at the last possible minute in the first place. |

New Buzzword Time!
"Happy Friday" Happy Friday everyone!
Translation: My job sucks so much that I've lost my mind and have started treating Friday as some sort of special pseudo-holiday that doesn't suck quite as much as compared to the rest of the week. I still have tons of work to do that I should have done during the rest of the week, but for some reason the fact that it's Friday takes some of the sting out of how much it sucks to be here. I also feel the need to be overly optimistic about the fact that it's Friday because I think I'm so cute, but instead of brightening everyone's day, I'm really just annoying everyone instead.
