I'm so upset over the whole Barnes and Noble thing! That's crappy, but on the other hand it may have been a sign from an angel....

I'm not sure how interested you are in a career in publishing, but you may want to also keep your eyes on www.bookjobs.com and www.publishersmarketplace.com. There are a number of entry level opportunities always popping up mainly in the NYC area for someone with an english background. Any technical writing experience you have will be a plus, especially in marketing and academic publishing.
