If a person was caught directly in or after the rape of a child, i feel they should pay ALL the prices we can put upon them. Execution would be good...in installments like one part at a time. that does violate the cruel and unusual punishment but we could always make deal with gang member's in prison to do this for us off the books.

yes that is Machiavellian in the approach but this is one crime i understand the sort of effects it can have from one side of it. no i have not been raped but i understand the depths that it can affect a mind.... damn empathy/ hypercogniton....

EDIT: at least the 2nd ammend was held up (sorta) so we could shoot them in the name of defense of the home and it possibly be an acceptable (non charged) homicide

My general thoughts are that people make mistakes and sometimes do stupid things. If they come to realize this, own up to it, and want to "fix" what they did, then those sort deserve a second thought and chance to make amends.

All the others are just filth.

If our legal system was a little more straightforward, then it might actually serve the correct purpose in deterring people from committing crimes in the first place.

no offense Fawkes, I can understand your opinion, but how can you make a mistake raping or doing anything sexual to a child.

I'm not talking something accidental that was taken the wrong way, I mean flat out confessed or caught child sexual abuse.

The type of rape I'd vote death penalty for is the one that involves manipulation of the victims emotion which affects the victim's confidence; making it feel like it HAS to let itself '' be raped'' hence, not quite perceiving the act of ''being a doll'' as rape per say for it isn't directly refusing but as ''something that they feel is necessary, because they either deserve it or have been lured to act in compassion from the manipulative motions of the rapist'' which MAY be the result of, I dunno, having said no a million times and in desperation and fear, thinking the only way to ''settle'' this with ''minimum'' conflicts is to ''open up'' to the rapist.

That is definitely quite hard to prove but honestly, doesn't that lead to uncovering one sick fuck? Alternative solution? Fine, no death penalty... but how about a trip to Guantanamo for a minimum of 25 years x2? I'm sure they'll have plenty of inmates to ''treat them as they deserve'' once there. And their newfound ''friends'' will bring justice beyond what the system itself can afford doing... directly that is ah.

But yeah... it is only unfortunate that so many elements, if only revealed, could probably prevent sick individuals to commit such acts. Not only do they need help for themselves as individuals, but mostly for the society they are bound to live in.

Problem is, it's usually too late once we ''get to know the full story'', and the harm is done. The rapist itself may as well be ''beyond repair''... ever seen Citizen X? I highly suggest it; it's in direct relation with this thread. I warn you, it isn't for the faint of heart. (pretty much mainly because it's based on true events, quite sickening ones)
