And don't worry about an overcast day - sometimes, you get better lighting with that. Only thing is that the light is more flat, rather than dynamic

Well let's hope you're right. In all actuality lighting was only one of our problems. Among others we had a cameraman ditch on us and the boom operator was an idiot, and boom is a pretty easy thing to do.
We will be filming another short at the end of the month. Drop me a line if anyone is interested.
