Actually I think I know where that came in. GameStop had a promotion going on for a couple of months where they were trying to target females in said age range, trying to snare them in with free magazine subscriptions to Cosmo and stuff for buying games like Wii Fit and Personal Trainer Cooking. 
I think that not only GameStop is retarded for such tactics, but Nintendo, Ubisoft, and other companies who put out these casual personal welfare garbage "games". |
