That's the one I played on for a little while. And yeah... I'm on Diablo now too.

All right PSO2 fans! The open beta is approaching soon, but Pre-Open beta comes this weekend! For two days, during a limited window (which unfortunately ends up being 6am - 11am EST) you'll be able to jump back in and play some new desert missions. Word is, by completing a special quest, you'll get a code for the bouquet rifle in Open Beta and official release. I'll try to update with a link later, but if you've applied for the beta before, you should be good to go for any other beta event. Word on the street is that the open beta is going to start around June 20th with the game releasing shortly after. I'm pumped!

Just wanted to throw this out there if anyone is playing the JP version of the game. (If you want to get started, here's a guide how.) I was hoping to find people to play with, and while there are plenty of pso-worlders out there, they mostly aren't my cup of tea. So if anyone is, just post your ship and player/character ID. Maybe we can find a way to get together.

Well, I work 8-4 most days, but during the week my best gaming days are we'd through Friday. I'm generally open most Saturday afternoon and Sunday mornings until 5pm (CST of course)

I'm completely psyched for this though, it looks much more like PSO that I love versus PSU which I thought was hot garbage.

Oh, and is there a concrete US launch date yet? Also, is this free to play or are we gonna need HL again?

No, it's free to play but there is a cash shop for exp boosts, item drop boosts, costumes, rooms, and a couple other things. But they give you enough to start out with alright. I was able to buy the costumes I wanted from the player shops.

I don't think there is an official date for the NA/EU launch, but they did say it would be out in the spring next year. If nothing else, this is a good way to get introduced to some of the features that they've implemented so far.
