UPDATE YO SELVES~!

Well as many of you know, Shandriz/Legend is now Mrs Shino.
We have 2 little ones...
Liam who is 3 and Elora who is 1.
We're still in the same house, but
<---- That is gone.

Bought a new car back in April.
I also switched jobs.

I'm now at the new Georgia IT Innovation Center for General Motors.
It's a move that I do not regret and one that is partially due to Hoth.
I'm glad to be a part of a company that does something I can get behind. My last job was not that way.

Interactive Distractions is still going on. We're about to hit 6 years.
Episode 300 will be broadcast live a week from Friday.

Of course not everything has been daisies though unfortunately.

Liam was diagnosed with an Aortic Coarctation when he was 3 months old. What this basically means is that his Aorta was compressed so that there was not maximum blood flow. The result is that his upper body had high blood pressure and his lower body had low blood pressure. He had to have surgery on his heart in order to fix the problem. He's fine now though and you would never know... but there's a large scare going from below his arm up to his shoulder blade that acts as a reminder of how lucky we are to have modern medicine... and... of course... Liam.

My Aunt who was always close by while I was growing up passed away a couple of years ago. My family and I miss her so much. And we're reminded of the impact she had on us every holiday especially. She lived a long life though. She was 81 when she passed away.

About 6 months ago, my mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
She's been undergoing Chemo and the results are positive, but we're not quite out of the water yet. It's tough... but so is she. We're hoping that the end of the tunnel is near. It's very possible that she will need one more string of treatments (today through Monday) and then a string of radiation treatments and she will be done.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
All and all I'm doing really well... and I try to remember each day to reflect on that fact.

Oh jeez, where do I begin? It's been 6 years since I last logged in.

I graduated college with a BA in Music, with an emphasis in Music Technology. I got married to my girlfriend of 3 years, bought a house recently, and have two cats. I was an assistant manager with Waldenbooks before the store closed. Now, I'm a Systems Engineer for a government contractor. In my spare time, I've been directing play readings, participating in NaNoWriMo for several years, singing in choirs, and performing in plays and operas. I'm still living in the Rocket City.
