Yeah. We're always trying to ignore the flaws and faults in our society and ourselves and then we wait until it's too great to ignore and only THEN try to do something about it. Whatever happened to "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"? And it seems that we are perpetually stuck in this cycle of ignorance since as soon as a good amount of time passes and the damage is under control we go right back to ignoring the problem. That's why revolutionaries are so rare, they try to strike at problems as soon as they see them and try to make sure that things STAY good. If anything we need more revolutionaries in this society, and I'm not (just) talking about gun toting open violent rebellion revolutionaries I'm talking about people that always try to make the world a better place and always will. Those are the real value of any society.
