Ska Concert - wow, so much fun

Well, me, Ming, Tobias, and Reverend all went to a concert yesterday, and i must say, it was one of the most fun things i have ever been to. The 4 acts there were Voodoo Glow Skulls, Pie Tasters, Catch 22, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. this concert was too great for just me to explain in one post, there was so much going on, it was pure craziness. among the highlights was the voodoo glow skulls making everyone go deaf, their lead singer wearing crazy masks and holding a spine shaped sceptre with a skull on it, the host making "crude" jokes and making fun of MTV, the moshpit during catch 22, which was insane, and the mighty mighty bosstones, which were just great all around. rev and ming have photos they took which should be up soon, so you can see just how much fun it was.

Yeah, seriously...that concert was INSANE. What Righty neglected to mention was that this concert was outdoors, and that it was raining. So the moshpit turned into a mudpit. We all came back COVERED in mud. People were throwing mud everywhere, and at one point, started throwing mud at Catch 22. It got so bad that they stopped in the middle of a song, when the lead singer got a mud ball to the head, and told the crowd to stop. It was pure chaos. I got in the pit a little bit, but Rev, Tobs, and Righty were going nuts, and I think they were purposely knocking people down into the foot of mud that was on the ground. It was truly an experience, and one of the best shows I've ever been to. And yes...picks of the 4 of us making jackasses of ourselves will be up soon....

I LOVE SKA!
BUT, NOW, (don't take this personally, but...) I HATE YOU GUYS!!
The VGS rock so very hard. When I was a hardcore S.H.A.R.P. (Skin-Heads Against Racial Predjudice) I used to wear this flight jacket with patches sewn all over it and Voodoo Glow Skulls was one of them. I envy you!

also, another thing that ming and righty neglected to mention was the female sport of mudwrestling Very Happy

Yea...after catch 22 played, two girls went off a little down the field, and started to wrestle in the mud. Soon, about 3/4 of the people there were in a big circle, rooting the girls on. Eventually, they started to actualy hit each other...but it turned out to just continue wrestling...and of course, the end of it all was from the amazingly AMAZING mighty mighty bosstones...who ownzors u biotches amazingly!!!

besides that...all i have to say is that everything was AMAZING there...and i want to do it again...in the mud Very Happy
