Disclaimer 2: AHH! CRUD! WRONG FORUM! Please don't smite me! This SHOULD'VE been in the Whatever forum, but I completely spaced!

Dis be ze weapon of choice thread because it seemed fitting to start its own thread rather than just deviating from the topic in another thread.

So, as for me, I'm not entiirely sure. It depends on the character, really. I'm really big on the whole akimbo idea, and symmetry. We have two hands, and so using two of the same comes naturally to us. The idea of defence and offence simultaniously also comes to mind. And so for my ideal weapon, I'd definately say either two skinny knives, or those lovely little triangular blades that almost serve as extensions of the arm: katar. Unarmed ain't a problem either, for Cobalt atleast, because claws can be substituted for additional 'damage' so to speak. I should draw up my anatomy of a furre arm some time. It's pretty interesting. Because I tried to incorperate the whole cat claw sheathing thing into how it would work if the paw were humanoid. Lots of thinking on a lazy weekend morning while studying my pet cat produced the sketch. I'll scan it some time.

Anyways! As a secondary weapon, I've always been a big fan of long-range projectiles such as bow and arrows, and have always been a marksman at heart, but I somewhat lost alot of my passion for arrows a while back and developed an interest in guns. Not for the "manly" stuff like killing and being badass, but they're really intriguing in how they're constructed and how they operate. I picked up the akimbo handguns thing to sortof match the blades for a long-range alternative in Cobalt, but I realized later that the akimbo thing with guns is really over-done. Everyone uses 'em. So I've been looking for somthing really unique for teh kitty to get his hands on. Any ideas, lemme know. But yeah. That ends my little WoC entry.

Arm-guns! Those rock.. like with Samus and stuff. But I can't picture any of my characters in a giant suit shooting plasma *snickers* Scratch that.

I've supported the Mace a lot, and I still stand by that, as a Mace can not seem threatening to people, but sure can pack a lot of hurt into it.

As for other forms of fighting, I've found I merge a lot of Kempo style karate with collegiate wrestling, as that gives you serious options in taking your opponent to the ground, and proceeding to take command there. Most often this is where people suffer a lack of training, because they focus on never being on the ground. So I prefer to take a fight in close, and bring it to the ground. Gauntlets work wonders here on your opponent

Long range weaponry is something I don't like, and for that reason I am a fan of shields and armor to bring the fight in close. Thing Gundam Maxter from G-Gundam; he wears armor that he can shed once he needs to fight in close.

Well, I'm a fan of the hand to hand fighting. There's something very rythmical and natural about hand to hand. There's more full body motion, more energy flowing through every muscle. After that I'd say swords. Not broad swords or foils but the inbetween-ers, the sabre (not that curved sword, that's a saber). With a sword like that you have a lightweight, yet strong, versitile sword. Good for fencing or just hacking, if need be. After that I'd say mace, then knives, then projectiles. And that's about it!

If I choose a gun...um...an Uzi? LOL! I prefer to use my fists or at least a long staff or something. I'm just in love with the Fire sword tho. heeeeeeeeee.

Sorry no pics but my favorite main weapon would be a nice leaf blade, then I would have like 6 or 7 small blades or daggerss on me. I actually have this but i never let my leaf blade off its stand

Edit: I left off my third fav weapon in my first post (i R not smart). The REAL list would be 1. Hand to hand 2. Sword 3. SPEAR (cause spears are cool. they can be long range, short range and they still have some grace and style) 4. Mace 5. Knives 6. Guns and Arrows and stuff.
And that's the real deal!
