yes, i was joking. how could you not tell? that is SOOOOO my sense of humor. random, sarcastic, vulgar, and... RANDOM. yeah. but seriously, my real advice is this.

AVOID FIGHTS LIKE THE PLAGUE. only get in ones you can win and can justify. and if you are getting beat, make it look like it was unfair, the cops will go kindly. by justify i mean this: you felt threatened.

well i didnt want to bring it up but one time i was visiting my cousin and he lives in an apartment and there was this one kid throwing knives and there were little children nearby so people complained and junk i dont remember what happened i think he cursed at his when we told him not to do taht so then my cousin told him to cut it out and the guy got pissed and tried to beat us up ( i was like 10 at the time and the kid was 13) so my cousin blocked the kid and scared him away. the kid comes back with his big giant of a sister and she beats up my cousin(she was like huge and my cousin was small like it was 18 yrs old vrs. 15 yrs old) so then the cops came and those guys got kicked out of the apartment buildings. the point was even though my cousin got beat up he did it to defend us, and i dont remember where i was going with this so im gonna stop now..... :moo:

ya...that is righty's sense of humor.

Also, ultrawolf, in means of defense, i will usually do the heroic thing and go against the giant...because im crazy like that, even though most people who ever have been with me know that i try to avoid those situations like they were the plague.

Moral of the story: Avoid fights, they arent good, and you end up getting in trouble, regardless of who was right and who was wrong. nuff said

I gotta tell you, it takes an incredible amount of self-discipline to not raise your fists in an instance like that. Once I was playing football with a few friends and some other kids from my old village (They lived on a council estate around the corner, and I think were moved there because they'd been thieves or thugs or something, anyway it was obvious they'd been taught that violence was ok). We said nothing to offend them, but they started ranting and insulting us. One of the kids put a v-sign in my face, so I pushed him over to show my annoyance, not intending to cause any real harm. Anyway, this kid's SISTER walks over and punches me in the face. I don't react (it didn't really hurt) so she did it again, and again, and again. Looking back on it, I wish I'd just slugged her in the jaw and walked off, but at the time I didn't raise my hands at all. I turned around and walked off while she continued to try and assault me. Eventually I turned around and pushed her over just to get her the hell off me, but if I'd done what my gut instinct was telling me to do I'd have knocked her out. To this day I wish I had done, and there was a lot of anger burning in me at the time, but it just shows that even in extreme situations, violence isn't always the only option..

That's not to say I wouldn't do the same if guys were messing with my sister though. Although having said that, my sister is 20, and the guys would probably be like 23....

But I'd give it a good go. There were a few courses of action, but I don't think the one you took was so bad. Besides, I HATE disrespectful kids. Beat them all, I say. ;p

Damn, man. Fighting is hard to avoid. When anger kicks in, so does instinct, which is ultimately harder to override.
