Doot, you are a wise one. I see in your words not only experience of life, but a great understanding of it, for what you have been trough, many could have drift in either depression, misunderstanding of the situation, suicidal thoughts (or maybe even getting to do it), lost of all hope to ever love and be loved in return. Many could also have not turned out to be, well, like you!

I'm more of a "1 divorce" kid, since I only suffered from the seperration of my biological parents, but unlike my little brother, I didn't think it was something bad, I liked my dad's girlfriend and I had no trouble accepting her and her children, but it took much time to my brother to do that. The only thing that hurt me was to see my mother crying, suffering from the lose of my father, I still feel her heart bleeds today, and when I see it in her eyes, I can't help it but to feel wounded as well, it hurts to see her suffer, knowing all that she did and sacrificed for us, it feels unfair. But that's life.

i never lived through my parents being divorced, but i am the product of 2 second marriages, so i know how my 2 siblings feel about it all. i also lived to see my uncle go through a VERY painful divorce with my aunt, where my aunt (who is materialistic, shallow, and completely self centered) did everything from take my uncles stuff, to brainwash the kids into disliking him, to lying about him beating her so he would go in jail. even today my uncle rarely gets to see his children, which sucks a lot, because its very unfair. this world sucks.

in my family divorce is extremely frowned upon, my mother and father hate each other with a vengeance, but they act Jekll and Hyde about it all the time. Sometimes they act like nothing happens but then for no reason they will snap and sometimes im the innocent bystander. Sad im really sorry for what you had to go through doot :moo:

I understand the feeling. My parents got divorced when I was two, and my mother remarried at 6, and has separated from her second husband to go live with her boyfriend.

But, I found your post very enlightning. Smile

my paretns spliot up when i was 6, my mum went off with someone else, which for her turned out to be a big mistake, shes been with him 12 years now and shes just left him after taking his beatings an mood swings for this long, im glad she has left him, no one could stand him, not even his own brothers or kids. he once tried to break my leg coz i stood in front of him to try and stop him hitting my mum........... i dont really remember my mum and dad splitting up, just that she told us she was going to hospital, then she didnt come back, and my dad came home from work and told us that him and my mum had grown apart. i neevr remember them arguing or anything like that, so it still seems wierd for me, but at least they delt with it like decent human beings, and they remain friends to this day
