I was a big fan of Armitage: Poly Matrix and all it's glory but Dual Matrix did NOT do it justice. My main question through-out the whole movie was, "Where are Armitage's wings?" I knew they got pretty damaged in the first flick but I'm sure if you can repair synthetic skin and a neural skeleton you can fix some damn wings! Also, the animation quality didn't realy go down or up. It went kinda lateral. It was goodly animated but it lacked the look and feel of the first movie. I also didn't like that they seemed to completely ignore the fact that Armitage's hubby is like 1/2 cyborg now and their daughter gets freaked out when Armitage's arm is missing some skin... Don't ya think that kid would have figured she was 1/2 metal like daddy? I mean after she broke her first hip being bounced on his titanium alloy leg she may have asked some questions.
To sum up this flick would have been a GREAT flick if it was a paralell universe running at the same time. But being a sequel it unfortunately had a LARGE expectation and failed to meet it. I give it out of 10. |

I'll agree that there was something special about the first Armitage movie, and that this film was a radical departure from it, but I for one liked the decisions that the writers made, as otherwise they would have simply had a one dimensional character.
They could have pulled it off better though... |
