God friggen damnit! As we ALL know I use Cox for my internet.. Well yesterday I was enjoy my internet on Gunbound very goodly.

I left to go eat some dinner then came home and found my internet don't work...We called Cox...They said, "It says you're on-line" I reply, "Well fucktard I can certainly tell you I'm not." He says go here do this long story short my IP address disappeared! I'm all zeroed out like some kinda naked monkey!

So after he tells me I'm retarded or something to that effect I cry myself to sleep. This morning I get on my compy and still no IP..I decide to plug in my USB line instead of the Lan and guess what, "IT WORKS" however the USB is not RELIABLE internet because Cox said that, "That's not the correct IP for you so our service doesn't see you." So basically what I can figure is I paid like $80 for their craptacular Cable Modem that is only designed to use the lan connection and the LAN connection is the one that doesn't work!

I'm so pissed cause now I'm goin to Frys Electronics and I haveta shell out money I don't have for a new modem!

ahh im happy i got comcast digital cabel and it takes both so..i have em both connected lol but i am pissed to hear that happend. those be-asters!!

IT TOOK ALMOST A YEAR FOR IT TO START WORKING RIGHT
and everyonce in a while it will go
i dont feel like working for a couple of days so fuck off
and then i usually end up breaking a computer
it sucks and computer companies suck so you have to tell the people off and ask to talk to a person in higher office if they dont help :anime:

you could go office space on your modem. (ie take it in the woods with a baseball bat)

Rogers Cable has been good to me. Goes down very rarely, high speed, and with their fee you rent a modem instead of having to buy one, so if anything goes wrong you get a free replacement :3 (mine died after about 3 and a half years, was replaced the next day)

I went to Frys and found that Cable Modems are $100 each..I remember back when cable was new they were $20...Damn price gougers.

I didn't buy one though..I resolved to tell COx to MAKE them accept my USB line. If not I demand a new modem..If they refuse I'll threaten to terminate service..If they still refuse I'll give up cause I'll be damned if I'm goin back to dial-up no matter how unreliable my cable..*cries*

Umm, if they cant see you. Just keep it that way? Then every month call and bitch about the fact that you can not get their service to work, maybe they'll reduce the monthly fee, and you'll still get to be online Smile

wow that sucks...i ave the same thing as diablo, the comcast digital cable thing...its ok i guess..but from all of the stories i have heard about this cox place...im not sure its a place i will be able to trust any time in the near future...or in the past future...or in the futures future...or,...well, you get the point.
