This may or may not go in this topic, but I can't think of anywhere else to put it. I heard somewhere that you guys might be getting a card game made of PO. Did I hear correctly or incorrectly? or is it too far in the future to know?

Yes we are planning on TRYING to make a card game. And the Videogame stuff is still in the works. We are looking into maybe a fighting game and a mini RPG possibly based on black forest.

Hey... RPG Maker 2 is coming for PS2, we could always work on that.

Fighter Maker is coming out as well, looks like it might be time to start looking into that...

As for a PO card game, as I posted in the aformentioned forum, we'd need to decide if you wanted the PO card game to be a supplement to a current one (The over-all likely canidated being Magic: The Gathering though I think the LotR engine would work well) or do we want to create our own rule system?

I think we could come up with our own rules. Granted, it may take us some time, but I think that there are enough of us POs that ply card games that it could work. I mean, me and Pot alone could probably come up with something.
And a Black Forest RPG... *drool*

yeah...we definitely need our own rules because of the whole mana thing. Quite a few of the moves here, I think don't require mana. Instead, maybe certain moves should only be available to certain characters, like the dbz-style speed teleport thing that Jondyn uses so much. I know for a fact not everyone can use that. And Lews Therin couldn't under any circumstances use any of Shino's moves. So maybe the character cards have things like

Name: Shinobishi
Role: good/duelist
Swordsman level 7
Mage level 0
Armor level 6
Combat abilities: physical attacks lvl 6, various elemental attacks lvl 5

Special Abilities: Rage, Millenium Tristar Gold 3000(I hope I got that right)

Weaknesses: Armor Flare, Memory Loss

and then there could be cards like

Earth Elemental Attack lvl 3
Effect: Damage of 3 times the user's level of elemental attack.

and

Rage lvl 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Effect: user's offensive levels are doubled, tripled, quadrupled, quintupled, hextupled(respectively)

and, you know, things like that...I can't really explain all of it and there would be a LOT of variables, but I think that would be perfect. Also, first rule: no more than one copy of any given character in play at a time, unless otherwise dictated by the cards.

It needs expansion, but I think that's a good basic idea, don't you? You all are free to help if you want...
