I don't see why not, but was it because you were seeing the mobilization of a huge ass army, on a giant screen, and hearing quite possibly one of the most imposing pieces of music score ever, all at the same time? |

Yeah, that was a truly great moment, because it's in that scene that Lucas brings the Empire to life. It is then that the Empire is born, at that moment, with Palpatine in complete control, an army of Stormtroopers at his finger tips and the Jedi in disarray. That was probably one of the best moments in the film. Much props to John Williams.

is it Anikin that kills Mace? I haven't read the books so I don't know, but I figured that Boba would kill him "somehow" b/c he decapitated his father.
guess we have to wait and see in 2 1/2 fudgucking years.
Oh and as for Mace.
Mace: Hey, can you hand me my light saber, it's the one that says "Bad A$$ Mutha Fucka" on it.

My one problem with that though, is that if Mace were allowed to survive the purges, and there was no accounting for of Yoda, don't you think that Palpatine would be sweating a few bullets?

I know I would be sweating if Yoda and Mace and Obi Wan were all still out there and Darth was nothing more than a half machine old man. Course, there is the fact that he has an army second to none in the galaxy. That might help him sleep at night.
