This is it folks, this is the moment we have all been waiting for. The two final fighters in the PO Wars II Tournament. And what a match up it is. Both fighters were knocked out of the first tournament in the first round, and now on 3 straight wins, the ended up here in the finals of POWII. Incredible. A 3 foot drunken Gnome, and an power house drunken Scotsman.

First... Gorty... Although only 3 feet tall, don't let his size fool ya, he's incredible fast and can take a hit with the best of them.

The fighters come out to the center of the arena. Ain pours himself a drink and swigs it. Gorty pours himself a drink and swigs it. They look at each other, pour each other a drink, and swig them. They both nod in satisfaction to the others choice of beverages. They seem to be friends... oh wait... nevermind...

The two back away. Ain puts away his "beverage equipment" and while Gorty is putting away his, Ain picks him up and punts the little guy across the arena, doing 217 pts of damage... man that was cold.

Gorty lands on the ground, gets up and begins to stubble toward his opponent. Ain pulls out his Claymour and swings, but the stumbling gnome is "Gnome" where to be found. OK... slash mark next to "Bad Jokes by the Announcer." Ain turns around and looks down, seems as if little Gorty has blitzed through Ain's legs, and Ain catches a glimpse just as Gorty jumps straight up in the air and clocks Ain with the "Drunken Gnome Headbutt of Doom." Ouch! 280 pts of damage.

A little dazed and unable to see due to his watering eyes, Ain is pretty much helpless at this point. Gorty quickly runs up and stabs the Scotsman in the foot. Ain begins to hop around on one foot holding the other after 260 points of damage.

As Ain continues to hop, Gorty can't seem to attack... probably b/c he is laughing so hard at the large Ain hopping around so agilely... (is that a word?)

Gorty gets a grip and runs up and stabs the other foot. Ain begins to hop on the other foot now, no wait, he is hoping from one to another... it looks like a really bad dance...

Gorty charges the large drunkard and jumps at him landing his head right into his stomach. Ain falls to the ground after 248 pts of damage.

Gorty begins laughing again uncontrollably. Ain sits up and pulls out his bottle and takes a swig.

Wait, Ain pulled something else out of his pocket... its... a match. He lights it, and spits the liquor at it causing a huge flame that engulfs Gorty. After 434 pts of damage, Gorty stands charred, and like a pile of ashes, falls to the ground... that reminded me of the old Tom & Jerry days!

Gorty springs back on his feet turning from ash to gnome again after a magical "gnomian" poof! Ain gets up and looks confused, and gets kicked in the knee cap by the little Gnome for 170 pts of damage.

Ain backs away, and swings his huge sword down at the little fighter, but Gorty just happens to stumble to the side. With his left, he slashes at the "giant" causing 235 pts of damage.

He follows through with the slash spinning himself around and stabbing in the side with his right for 199 pts of damage.

He reverses the other direction spinning again and stabbing in the opposite side with his left for 163 pts of damage.

Gorty follows through again slashing with his right for another 282 pts of damage for an incredible 4 hit combo. Ain drops his sword and holds his sides, then kicks the little gnome across the arena doing 254 pts of damage.

Gorty runs at the wall jumps and springs off it directly at Ain. Ain catches him in mid air and slams him on the ground for 316 pts of damage. Gorty, laying face down, lifts up his head, then stabs Ain's left foot again. Man that was low!

Gorty jumps to his feet and Ain picks up his claymore and backs away. The two take quick swigs of their beverages and prepare for what's next.

Gorty charges, Ain jumps into a side stance. Gorty jumps at him trying to pull off another head to the mid section, Ain rears back his sword and bats Gorty back to the other side of the arena.

Ain holds his sword straight out. Gorty gets up and charges again. Ain starts to spin around in a "Blade Whirlwind" attack. Gorty runs right into it causing 283 points of damage. Gorty gets sent toward the wall. Ain returns to a standing position, but is now drunk and dizzy, not a good combo. Gorty flips in the air, plants his feet on the wall, pushes off and is now speeding directly at the dizzy warrior. He gains some height, goes right over Ain, slashing both shoulders in the process for 275 pts of damage.

Gorty throws both daggers at Ain. Ain picks up his sword and attempts to deflect the attack. He deflects one of them which goes hurling back at Gorty. Ain gets hit with the other in the shoulder for 207 pts of damage. Gorty gets hit by the deflected dagger for 319 points of damage. Amazing.

Ain sits down on the ground and pulls out his beverage. Gorty walks over and looks at the strong warrior "taking a break."

Gorty sits down with him, they take swigs of their drinks, then pour each other a drink again.

The both put their drinks away. Ain pulls the dagger from his shoulder and hands it back, "Here you go man." He stands up and says "Ready little one?" Gorty springs to life and says in his squeaky little gnome voice "BRING IT BIG MAN."

Ain attacks, but Gorty wastes no time dodging the attack through Ain's legs and stabs him in the back of the leg for 238 points of damage.

Gorty starts another "stumbling charge" at Ain. He's moving too fast for Ain to hit. Gorty speeds up and goes through Ain's legs again, this time slashing the inside of them for 200 pts of damage.

Ain turns around, falls to one knee and holds his sword straight up in the air in front of him. All of a sudden Gorty begins to float. "WHAT THE HELL" Ain uses his Telekinesis to pick up the little gnome. It's easy with him being so small. He slams him into the wall repeatedly. When all is said and done, Gorty falls to the ground with 413 points of damage.

The both stand up and prepare for what's next. Ain is in critical condition and can hardly move. Gorty isn't doing so hot either though.

Gorty uses everything he has left to charge his opponent. He jumps at Ain holding both daggers out to attack. Ain is unable to do much at this point. He holds up his sword in front of him blade out. Gorty runs right into it, practically ripping his arm off doing 396 pts of damage, but the inertia sends him through the attack and he gets one good shot at the side of Ain's neck. Both warriors fall bleeding, but after this attack, Gorty stands the victor... the fact that he has to hold his arm to keep it attached is besides the point.

This fight was very close, but is was a lot closer then you guys know. Gorty's best hit came on his last hit and only beat Ain by 5HP. If he didn't get that roll, who knows what could have happened.

In any case, this tournament is concluded. Gorty is the Winner, Ain comes in at close second.

I will post the prizes for the top 3 soon.

Hey guys, I'm looking for feed back. Tell me what you think of what we have put together, as well as the writing going on by the BM (me!).

We do have a little more work to do on the system. Shuri and I have both noticed a little balance shift. After fixing that and finishing the last fight in the first tourney, we will restart them

I totally love the system. Even though, we done have any controls over our characters, it's awesome to read about them fighting it out.

Shino, your writing was very good for most of the battles, but sometimes it seemed like you rushed them, which I can understand. None the less, your descriptive prowess keeps me entertained and wanting more. A great job indeed.

Congratulations Gorty! I can't wait till we meet again in the ring! A good fight from both Gorty and Ain.

I liked your fighting descriptions Shino, but, and this is just a personal opinion, I think that the lack of exclamation points makes a huge difference :p
