I am a christian, I used to be Catholic, but the hypocracy of that Church, couple with beliefs I held as false, and a far to much tacky, flashy garbage. So, now, through study and prayer, I have turned to Orthodox Christianity, and am attempting an almost monastic lifestyle, but I haven't settled. I believe in truth, I believe thje truth is found in God, what you believe is fine, it doesn't change that only one of us can be right, and, no offense, I believe that I am the closer to truth.
Hesychasm and Hagiorite
That is kind of the goal, maybe not literally a hagiorite.
Believe what you choose, though I will judge you by your actions, it is not my place to damn you. Nor, until I find the truth concretely, convert you. |

I haveta agree with BB...All the mormons, Catholics, Buddhists, and them other religions I've ever met are REAL open to other religions. But the Christians are always telling me, "If I was you I'd be scared right now cause when the world ends you're going to hell cause yer not Christian." I then stated back, "Ummm, aren't you trying to cheat on your wife on a daily basis?" The response, "Yeah but I pray sometimes and Christianity says that's all you need to do to save your soul." I then stab them with a cross or some kinda stabbing implement.
Ok, it's not ALL like that but I'd say 95% of all Christians are close minded...Least the ones I met...The other 5% are open minded well, least enough to not tell me I'm wrong every 5 seconds. |

Once you think about it, religion is practically the smae thing. Just with one or more different god. These fundamentalists need a good ol fashion...how can I put this delicately...lay. Don't worry if some tosser wants to convert you. Do what I do, pinch his cheek and kiss him/her. Sure it's odd, but thats the most unpredictable thing they will ever get. They just stand there dumbfounded. I don't even listen to 90 percent of the stuff they say as I'm too busy gettin acquanted with Captain Morgan and his first mate Jim Bean.
