Heartbreak takes a long time to wear off...And I'm not all that strong anymore. I can't take it like I used to be able to, and I'm giving up...I'm just giving up...Because, slowly you can tell it's finally wearing me to death...I'm not so witty anymore...I don't respond with snappy comebacks, or smart-ass remarks...I just nod or smile. I'm not so happy anymore. I cry easily. I'm nostalgic and lethargic. I just don't care anymore. There's something about my heart that just won't heal. It's somewhere in his smile and how I wish it was still me who made him smile. Its somewhere in how I can tell he sees the beauty left in life, and how I wish he still saw the beauty in me. Even though, on the inside, I know I've never been that beautiful. I'm just as torn up as the rest of lower humanity. And I see that now, and I know that I should just go off into a corner or box and die somewhere, but I can't seem to bring myself to do that. Every day is a battle I don't really want to win. This is the worst I've ever felt. I've never been so scared, or so emotional. I feel like strait-up dirt. I just keep falling, and I'm now too tired to reach out to grab a hold. I give up! I've lost. I turn it all over...I'm just so tired of being sick and so sick of being tired...I'm sorry everyone...

i'm sorry for the way you feel katana, i've had my heart broken many a time by people i love, friends, and my own family! i've learned that the right thing to do at these times is to live, learn, and forget. Go do something fun, that you would enjoy maybe with some friends. Learn from the past to help yourself but don't linger too long in the past or you will be sad for a long time. Forget the bad times and "keep on truckin'" so to speak. The best thing to do is move on, don't stop just move on. I don't know exactly what happened but you should put it behind you and forget about it. Like i said go do something fun! go see a movie with some friends, maybe visit the local hangout (mall, store, restaurant etc). Eat some rainbow sherbert ice cream that usually cheers up anyone! If it helps ill give ya a superpower just gimme 3 letters to work worth!

Wolf is right, you need to just forget about this guy(i take it thats what happend)
your still young and you have the rest of your life ahead of you, do you really think some jackass guy who broke up with you because of what ever jack ass reason guys have for doin every thing they do?
no of course not

so even though i know you will most likely not listen to me, my advice is to forget about who ever did this, because one day you will find someone who you truely loves you and you truely love, and you will realize that all those times you thought you were in "love" you wern't.

Thanks guys. I'm in the process of doing what you guys are suggesting, trying to forget...but I'm forced (because of school) to always be around him.

And for those of you wondering, yes, the guy in question is Chris/Kensei

Its devistation having your heart broken. Not only this, but having five months of your life totally ripped out of you. Once you find out that the love that made you happiest is a lie, nothing can really repair quickly...Talk about screwing up, right?

I don't even think I have any tears left...

OH GOD! This tool has my name! Nooooo! Why is it that all of my lady friends get duped by a guy named Chris? Guhhhh! Anyways do what I do and heed the words of Lina Inverse. "I have no time to be depressed! There is so much stuff to do!". Yea I went by those words with a religious zealot belief and I came out on top. But there is no shame in crying Katana. Wise Man says that crying help purify the soul. You also need a hug! *hugs Katana*

ULTRAWOLF says eat icecream and use your new superpowers!
seriously though (wow serious who woulda thought me being serious) the icecream serves an actual purpose! (odd as that sounds) see if you focus on the icecreamy goodness you'll forget all about the negative energy (wow i sounds like that stupid tae-bo guy, billy whats his face). Also random stupid things like what im trying to do right now will help distract from the bad feeling. (now where did i put that danged ice cream)

I've been heartbroken several times and I know what it feels like to die inside and just give up. The only thing that has gotten me through it has been this quote:
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened"
I hope that it can help you as much as it has helped me.

...at least I still have my husband and wife. *huggles Lulu and Tidus*

...Seriously, I think the only thing that gets me through is poetry and my friends. People have been really nice in helping me through this, especially some people on this board (Doot, Sakura, Akira, PRG, Jezzy ect ) And it helps alot when I know you guys care about me...Thanks to all of you.

Ah, Kay, you've learned one of the most true lessons of life, which is most often learned the hard way. Friends are very important, more so than just about anything else in this whole, rotten world of ours. Friends make it all worth while. The good times that make you laugh, the warmth of their hugs, the strength of their arms when they hold you crying. This is what makes life durable, bearable and valuable. I know this is hitting you hard, Kay, but I know you're strong. I know the hurt you feel. I've felt it several times, once recently was almost too much to bear. Your heart feels like its going to implode, colapsing in upon itself into nothingness from the pain, but it will get better. You've got friends who care about you, family that loves you. Keep that in your heart and mind and, slowly, the pain will lessen. You've got a lot of life ahead of you, Kay. There will be other boys, other loves. Time passes like a river after all. There may be a few slow spots in the middle, and it may get rocky and hard, but you always go on. Time, and life, goes on. Do not forget about what was. To forget is the greatest crime of all. When all is said and done, we are left with who we are and what we've done, all evidenced by our memories. Every experience is valuable, the pain and the joy. Don't forget that joy you shared because of the pain of today. Always remember, but don't hang on. Let it go, and let the river of life take you further down stream.
You know where to find me.
You know I care.
You know I'll listen.
Always.

Join the Fun
