Some of you may know Child's Play, a donation drive that was headed by Penny-Arcade. Well I went to their website today and saw that not only is the media blasting GTA again, but that Penny Arcade got no credit whats so ever for the drive. Instead it was a catholic school (acording to those f**king media pigs) that donated the stuff to them and it was estimated to be around 1G (one grand). Now I think a garage full of XBOXs, PS2s, GBASPs, Neo-Geo pockets, and games wouldn't come out to 1,000 dollars. This is disgusting. What we need is a independent news organization. Not Fox or CNN or those other corprate news stations that screw everything up for the masses, but a mass of news writers that are fully dedicated to the truth. I'm getting sick and tired of me, as a gamer, labeled as a murderer and my peers labeled as satanic lowlifes because they choose to shave their heads and have tattoos put on their necks and scalps. Did I miss something? Is it more corporate BS that I'm missing? Are they tryin to make me flip out and kill them in a Rage of the Blood fashion?

I totally agree with you, we should have an internationnal News Channel completly NOT financed by the goverment or anything, private and dedicated to bring you the truth in all its forms, TTN I say it should be called ... The Truth Network ... yeah I wish ...

Speaking as a former reporter (in high school), journalists are supposed to cover the news accurately and nonjudgmentally, and remember that there are two sides to every story. Unless the journalist is doing an op/ed, his opinion has no place in the report. It's unfair for Penny Arcade not to get the credit they deserve, and it's unfair that gamers are portrayed negatively.

Oooh..I actually sent a letter to the writer along with Tycho at PA.

Feel free to read.

You do realize you're an idiot right?

The children who shot people never even got to SAY they were playing Grand Theft Auto because when the reported said the children STATED, "When we played the game and shot people they didn't die."

WOW, when *I* played the game and shot a motorist they MORE than died they fell out of the car and writhed in pain while blood spewed from their major artery severed by a bullet coming from said gun.

My question to you is..."Where were the parents of said children when they removed said 3-5 Foot sniper rifle from their parents home to shoot these people?"

If you are so BLIND to see that these children have horrible parents and aren't man enough to step up and say, "It is a sad day when parents let their children get away with murder and then blame a video game." Then maybe Darwin's Natural selection skipped your family gene pool.

If you remember good sir that the CATHOLIC church had this thing called a "Crusade" a couple years back where Catholic soldiers did nothing but rape and pillage their way through Europe, Asia, and Africa. I'm FAIRLY certain the pope at the time wasn't playing Grand Theft Chariot at the time but don't quote me on that.

Also...If we take a step into the future we may just notice this one guy...What's his name? He was a vegetarian painter..... Austrian decent...Never played a video game before...Sorry I can't remember his name at the moment..But He led this thing called the Third Reich and killed something like 6+ Million Jewish people in some kind of genocidal way...I can not for the life of me remember but I know that because of him 24 Million Russians died, 500000 Europeans died, and 500000 Americans died.... I'm sure he's quite popular and you should be able to find his name in a book somewhere.

But I DO know the one guy named Faulstoff, College History Teacher by the way, who killed 172000 people a while back and died under house arrest at 72...I think he died playing a video game or something..He just couldn't take the violence. It was too much for his poor fragile heart that had never been warped by society

And it's funny since the late 70's when video games came out there have been no church burnings in the Southern states. The economay has grown so much stronger. The US government has only attacked foreign dignitaries who oppressed their people and are not just kill ing to spread "Democracy" like the Catholics/Christians spread their "Religion." Hate crimes are lowering quickly. The world is melding together with commerce and cultural ideas and foundries.

While I can not say video games did this I can say if *I'VE* ever gotten angry enough to want to hurt someone then picking up my controlled and saving the world from aliens or expanding my ties to the mob has always made me fill a bit better and I have yet to kill anyone let alone get into anything more than a verbal squable.

I thank you for your time
~David Tilley

You mean burn all of the PC, granola eating, rich yuppies and the high powered, over-paid, brown d**k (it's George Carlin's way of saying cigar) smoking, old as dirt, corprate theives? Yea I totally agree and Az sometimes its not the parent's fault. They could be doin they're best a parenting but they're dumb-ass kids end up doin the violent things anyways because they're perception is blurry (ie they think that blowin someone away will not affect them and they will get away with it).

I always find it funny that every one alwas tries to find excuses for a murde. Murder has been against the law pretty much in every civilized culter ever, and the reason its a law is people have been doing it, well forever. so its not like some one killing some one is a new thing, its just people who play video games and kill people is a new thing, but there really isnt any link between the two.
