Well, here's one thing: In your zealous protection of videogames, you fail to mention that the videogames might have had SOME influence.
Note that I'm not saying the video games are the reason they killed people. Note that I'm not saying that they aren't the reason.
But video games do NOT need to be needlessly attacked! There's something called FREE ENTERPRISE. I don't know if they've heard of it when they're saying that video games should be banned from the face of the Earth. And when they're banning GREAT WORKS OF LITERATURE, besides. DON'T READ IT IF IT OFFENDS YOU, MR. MEDIA.
I reiterate:
FREE ENTERPRISE.
CA-PI-TAL-ISM.
MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN CUTESY VIDEO GAMES, YOU STUPID MEDIA F*CKS. |

He's got a point. I mean, video games are just another way to convey a story. Just like a book, or a television show. The only difference is that it's interactive. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but blasting people in a video game is a whole lot less destructive than in real life. That's basically what video games are made for, to simulate things that you could and SHOULD never do in real life. It's the person's mentality to blame, not the video games. Maybe their parents, maybe their friends, maybe their crappy life.
And I agree with Demonic. Free Enterprise. That's democracy for you. |

Yes Demonic, free Enterprise. Although it may seem like I have a zealout view of video games I do agree with you whole heartedly that VGs can be the trigger to someone's violent agressions. I to have had violent tempertantrums from playin a few games (Ninja Gaiden 1 and Castlevania anyone?). But I never did take a ninja sword or bullwhip to anyone. Although it would be pretty interesting to see someone beat someone to death with a bullwhip. |

people will just have to get used to it, same as any thing, hell they said rock music was from the devil, they killed people for witch craft who just practiced science.
these are always true
change always comes
change is always slow to come
change always begins with a small number criticized and ridiculed by those that have not changed |

Videogames don't kill people, f*cked up people kill people. Yeah, it's a result in poor parenting. d00d, society has accepted the NRA's motto, which is centered around a WEAPON, but they will snap on videogames, which sole purpose is ENTERTAINMENT and occassionally EDUCATION (Koei games, anybody?)
What this world needs is a Media Revolution. Hmmm, what better way than the internet, a place where free speech is still valued. Let's start one!!!
