The explosion is over in seconds. Ulovia strides towards the Mage, chuckling cruelly.

"This is your fate, Mage. To be slaughtered here, to be cut down where you stand. My host's sword, it will enjoy the taste of your blood..."

Rupture leaps into Ulovia's hand, a handaxe now, and he swings it towards Lews Therin's throat, the weapon edging ever closer--just a second left until impact, when--

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ulovia staggers under the mental blow from Demonic, lending Lews all the time he would need to escape and live...

*A bird flutters into the Wench, collapsing through a window, and perching on the bar before finally falling dead*

*A scroll sits attached to the creatures leg, which Aindriahhn retrieves, reading it*

*Crumpling the note in his hand, a distant look crosses Aindriahhn's eyes before he turns, heading into the basement, and a painfull past*

Diablo cuts the mage off but not with the evil look that Kirahaad gives off and says, "Sir mage, it is me, Diablo.. i have found a way to keep Kirahaad at bay so if it can be done i will try and tell you where we are and are going.." with that said Diablo flys back behinde Ulovia as if he never left. "Now, can we go?" said diablo with a deep vioce that of Kirahaad.

The power was his. He had succeded in bending solid chaos energy to his will. It was exhilerating...

The blast of warped energy knocked trees from their roots as though they were kindling. Boulders were hurled over the shredded trunks. The people of La'Runior stared in astonished fear as the western sky faded to a deep, almost blackish blue, and then catapaulted back through the spectrum to blinding pinkish pearl...

When the dust cleared, the mage was gone.

Ulovia, in his arrogance, doesn't expect the blast.

It very nearly ends up being his undoing.

He slides back about four hundred feet--managing to stay up--shielding his face from the winds, and, when he finally comes to a stop, he falls, panting, to the ground. The warped Chaos energy, through whatever that Mage managed to do, has injured Ulovia and his pride greatly, and he snarls.

My father used to tell me that to underestimate my opponent would get me killed.

"I'm not your father," Ulovia replies flatly, shoving himself back up to his feet. Blood runs from a gash in his temple, and he can feel that one of his teeth is cracked. "And why in Hells did you do that, child? Your blade could have had a taste of that blood!"

In echo with Ulovia's rantings, Rupture glows that yellow it usually does, dust rising from the ground and swirling about both it and him in a sudden torrent of wind. The wounds on Ulovia's body begin to heal at no specific rate of speed, closing rapidly at one moment and sealing at a snail's pace the next.

If I wanted that one's blood, I would let Bloodreign have it. That axe you wield is not Bloodreign.

Rupture shifts its form back into a sword. Ulovia merely snorts.
